Bad Problem with one girl

Personally without knowing the RH of the room it looks to me like the spotting could be powdery mildew, which also wipes off.

The second thing is did anyone else notice that he said " I add my nutes to ph6 water".

Anyone else know what generally happens to a solution when nutes are mixed in?

You mean "solution" being h20 :??: yeah, it makes the ph go either up or down..

Thus throwing it off. I have to add a tad of ph up to dail mine in to 6.5.

It gets lower.

My guess on this is powdery mildew, pH probably in the 4's somewhere, lockouts caused by low pH and over watering too.

Just my opinion of course.

J

Yeah, when I add my nutes in then I do my ph test. Which I use 2 sets of diferent nutrients on dif plants, it makes my
My solution fluctuate either up or down, thus having to add either ph up or down to adjust to 6.5

Friends...please don't get into arguments on this or any other thread. I'm sure that each and every one of you are very good in special areas here, perhaps all areas. The nutes that I use were recommended on this and other sites. Also, I was told many times by you folks and profuessionals at the manufacturers of the nutes that I use. They all told me that I need to get my gal of water at 5.5 to 6.5 ph, then add my nutes that take care of themselves in the water. I'm going to test that out this evening and mix both ways and will report back on here. If I have a crazy mixture of nutes, then I just need to know that, so I can fix it with your help. Damm, I thought I have been doing the right things for 5 years now growing indoors (an out building) in a tent, and I have had some wonderful crops. I really appreciate all the expert help you folks are giving here...let's just get along! Peace to all :leaf:

Well, the way I've always been taught & have read in plenty of grow books is to add nutes, which will "drop" your ph right off! Some may even bring the ph up. It depends on what the grower is using I guess. Anywyas, I have always added my nutes to "plain" water, then did my ph test, then either added ph ^ or ph dwn. Which I Dad always said never to add or purchase ph down, because all you have to do is add alittle water "tap" back to the mixture to bring it back up a tad if need be.. lol.

Yeah, I hadn't herd of the mixture on the nutrients b4 bro.. but hey, if its working on the other girls, then go with it..
I still think myself it looks like a heat issue. Because during "flowering" higher temps tends to make flowering plants stretch more so, and I've also noticed it makes buds more so "airy".. imo....

its not intended for nutrient solutions of different lines to be mixed directly, it *could* cause adverse effects or reactions. I dont see any of that in the pictures you have provided.

As I indicated- it seems as though you have more air flowing in than out of your room, if you addressed that it should help bring your temperatures down. *Should*, if its an uninsulated outbuilding with only a tent for insulation and no inbound AC... it may not. Reverse pressure in the room (or positive pressure) will cause the vacuum to stop (reducing transpiration, closing stomata) and the plant will stop pulling up as much or all together water and nutrition from the soil. Without transpiration both through the plant and soil itself, there is little to no gas exchange which could very well lead to root rot, and is undoubtedly (to me) the cause of your necrosis.

If the ph was really that off, you would be seeing all together different symptoms in your plant, and it would be shared by all plants to whatever degree they cant resist. Ph is mostly to do with the way roots draw up nutrition, not so much water itself. You could have simply overwatered and kept overwatering a plant that was struggling so it never recovered... but if you have watered it no more regularly than the others, and have been finger and bottom testing the pot to see if its ready to be watered... than I doubt thats what happened.

I think Dankster-420 and I are about on the same page. I have respect for what he knows, and am glad he is here to help fellow growers and learn from their experiences just as I do. Happy growing, I dont think that plant will come back very well, or rather if it would be worth it to you the time, energy, and patience it would take to get it back to optimum health anyways. Its up to you. first thing I would do is let pot dry out and trim back dying growth. I wouldnt mess with it though, would just let it go if you have plenty of others to worry about.

Thanks for your detailed explanation loadeddragon. As you already know, my tents are in a large outbuilding. I took a corner section of the building and installed a tempoary room using plastic tarps. Inside that makeshift room are my tents and work area. I am trying to be very careful to keep the girls well protected from the outside. One plant that we have an abundance of here in the country area that we live is "wild" marijuana. I first noticed it here when my family and I would make trips to the midwest and would smell and then locate many of these plants that smell like the real deal...but give you a headache if you smoked it. It is considered a noctious weed in my state, which means that we are obligated by law to destroy it. Two years ago, our farm here was in the CRP program, which means that the government pays us to leave our crop fields in grass, rather than cropland in order to rest the ground and promote wildlife. Even though I had the girls protected in the building, sometimes the doors would be left open. Before I knew it, all of my girls had hermied. I'm not allowed to have the girls in the house...the boss (wife) hates the smell and we have the farm up for sale, which means that we get periodic visitors.

I did go out this afternoon and open the tent door and could feel the round about effect of the wind created by my fan, which is on high as of last night. I don't think this one girl is going to make it, but I did make sure she was direct on the fan and I also pulled the large leafs that were already dead from the girl in trouble. I'm going back out to the tent in a bit to test ph in water before and after a nute mix. Dank says it will change...I did not know that and was apparently mislead by others. I'll snap another picture of the girl and will try and get as close as my camera will allow. Thanks for all of your continued support to me! Peace :weed:

adding nutrients will change the ph for sure. then adding the solution to the SOIL will change it again. and then the ph will slowly fluctuate as moisture : Particulates ratio fluctuates ;)

Just took a picture of the girl in trouble and one of her sister right next door. BTW, these girls are both from Short Rider auto fem beans and they are the only two of that strain that made it this far. All of the other girls are VERY happy, but they are other strains. I took all dead leafs off after picture. As an example, one of my Blue Mistic Auto's shown here in the second two pic's. Sorry...light is on. So, my question is: "keep her" or crash her totally? Peace :!:

Bro, she is looking pretty bad.. :( I hate that to.. if she does recover I would say she would take a good while to reveg, and growth will be slowed, "if she makes it" like said. If it where me, I would give her atleast 5 to 6 days to see if there's any changes, and then if not just cut my losses with that 1.. even if she did recover, she woouldnt produce that much, or could end up a mutant. Really hard to say which way she could go..

On a happy note though, the other girls look good! ;) OH! And I just did an update on my ladies, it is on pg 358 on the thread, would like you to take a gander. Links in the signature.. thanks bro. Dank

Checked your page dank...you are doing some good things there and they are looking great! The two Short Rider girls were from Nirvana, who says that those particular beans are 8-10 weeks from seed to harvest. That puts me right on. I just expected them to be bigger like the others in the tent. Those girls are going upside down either today or tomorrow. I'm gald I've been flushing! Here are the others:
