I say add the cfls and flours as soon as you start to flower, i did- and i cannot speak enough about how critical they were to my lower bud development, when i look at helga and holly my harvested plants- especially helga- i find cola sized bottom buds- the smallest buds on my plants are the one as close to the stalk in the middle of the plant- where the least light gets to- and without wrapping it in christmas lights- theres not a lot of way to brighten that part up. But the CFLS at the bottom are incredbile for those lower buds. EVERYONE SHOULD DO IT. only cost me like 15 bux in CFLs and light stands. Easy.

Also you may seriously wanna consider topping tall girl, it sux to try topping them when their in flowering, its stupid actually, but if you run out of height you may not have another option, I would consider doing it now preventativley.

But Alice is very bushy, and the leaves are a beautiful green.
You got it going right now doubt.
Sorry bout the bills- i am up about 30 dollars american over my usual bill just to run my lights.

Hi OB nice to see you. Are you getting high on your first harvest now?
My flower room is so bright that they don't make any difference, the mylar seems to be doing the job, also, the cfls get quite hot and would be a bit close to the leaves. I might stick one of my fluoros in there soon though.

My temps are high today due to the weather, 80/84 flower room and 84/88 veg.
I know this is above recommended but in their natural state ie Colombia Morocco etc they must hit 90+ all the time don't they?

looking good BM, i have not read all your journal i have only skipped through but good work there. i have used ionic nutes in soil on my last grow and it was ok i had a few problems but i think that was more to do with the ph than anything to do with the nutes, i am using ionics again in this grow,

good luck and i will be popping in now and again if you don't mind

have fun

Of course i don't mind. The idea of doing this here is to get all the input and share our knowledge and experience.

Welcome aboard Kulan and props for being another UK homie.

Speaking of which,Do I neeed to issue you a personal invite to stop by and post your favorite tips?...we can use all the input we can get to help show new growers the steps we take to insure a good harvest...it doesn't have to be a pictorial,by the way...just stop in and share some of your valued advice...that goes for you too OB...I use the sidelighting myself, and ob gets the credit for that one

i always ask when first posting on a journal as some people like to keep them neat and want little advice, i just thought it was good manners

and no satman you don't but i would ask the same if i posted on your journal, but as is i will take that as an open invitation to peruse your pages.

have fun :peace:

Yes I mentioned in here but recently in DB's applejuice thread.
I did start a seperate thread on it but got no response and thought I'd wait for results before putting it out there, so to speak.
Here's the thread https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/90948-more-thc-vicar.html There does not appear to be any difference visible at this early stage but I will update the thread in the next day or so.

Edit: welcome to my journal by the way, I take that as a compliment to see both you and DB - established and respected members - taking the time to comment.

lmao I just saw those boxes - whatever they mean - by your gallery on the right.
Apparently you are "a splendid one to behold" while DB is "A diamond in the rough"!!!
What is all that about, oh and OB "has an aura" that must be the force lmao
:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

I have seen those things and wondered what they mean, I still am no wiser.

Can anyone tell me?

The little boxes with the plus signs are reputation scores. With each new "rank" or box (or so), there is a different little pithy remark.

You can read all about it if you want..

Cool! I am very interested in the results!

Thanks for the welcome! DB and I certainly are established and at least he is respected

I think he'd agree that we are equally gratified when you and others visit our journals too! :joint:

I have a cross between a great dane and a mastiff, she has a penchant for soft toys too!!
oh man - i'll be she is HUGE!! my little guy is hefty but you don't think - wow that's a big dog.. you know?

I traded a larger hedgehog toy for his old squirrel which he really enjoys biting - plus he can hump it so he is happy!
