Barney's Farm lsd

Sorry it's been awhile since I found my camera so these pics are about half way through flowering already. Got 5 feminized lsd seeds from Barney's Farm and germinated 3 of them for the time being. Once they sprung from the soil, they were placed under 3, 26 watt 6500k cfl bulbs on a 24/hr. a day cycle. Switched to an 8 bulb, 4 ft, T5 ho, 6700k fixture when they were strong enough for it. Btw, using 3 gallon air pots and Fox Farm ocean forest soil. For vegging, even though the FF soil has plenty of good stuff in it to start, I used the Botanicare Pro Grow and Botanicare Cal/Mag+ (2-0-0) at 1/4 strength. Towards the end of veg I foliar fed with the Botanicare Pro Grow more instead of adding it directly to the soil to prevent a salt build up (which I have experienced before). I AM NOT A BOTANICARE REP, I just like their products and have been using them for awhile now. I also use, Hygrozyme, and Super Thrive (both non- Botanicare products). From veg to flower transition, I gradually lessened my dosage of the Pro Grow and gradually increased the Pro Bloom (still was using the cal/mag+ though). Flowering under a 400 watt EYE super blue hps bulb. Also I like to use Mother of All Blooms once, when the flowers just start showing. Its always thrown my plants into great bud production. I gradually cut down the dose of the cal/mag+ until I don't use it at all after about 3 weeks into flowering. Once the buds start thickening a little I stop foliar feeding and go straight back to soil, with the Pro Bloom, Hydroplex, Liquid Karma and a couple drops of Super Thrive-(just good B vitamins) per gallon. For soil watering, i use between 1/4 and 1/2 strength of what the ferts actually direct you to use. My watering schedule is always fert, wait 3 days, fert, wait 3 days, plain water, wait 3 days and so on......I recently picked up Clearex and it is working wonders on getting rid of the excess salt. I use it every other time I use plain water on my plants. These pics are 38 days into flowering, I'm gonna try and take some pics tomorrow and show how they look at 55 days. For ease of growing (this plant LOVES to be fed) and the intense smell, I am liking this strain more than all the others I've grown so far. Can't wait to smoke. Tell me what ya think or if you've got any suggestions or questions feel free to post.

i didn't like LSD that much. it has a nice functional high to start with along with lead eye, but it has a wicked creeper stone that put me to sleep the 1st time i blazed it. i don't like couchlock one bit. it's WAY better than nothing but stoney street beasters though, very sexy & compact with really dense buds. mine grew to less than 2 feet tall as i started flowering it at just the 3rd leafset. i'd use this strain to shrink an IBL long before ANY indica though.

i also didn't like the mild, but disgusting, sickeningly sweet cat piss (more like male territorial spray!) on grapes & flowers early in flowering when you put your nose right up in it, but it wasn't really smelly and faded to a much nicer grapes only odor later. it just didn't live up to it's "trippy" rep either, but i started out blazing columbian gold, so mild psychoactivity doesn't qualify as trippy to me. newscasters looking 3D? now THAT'S TRIPPY

i'd call the strain a "mid" as it gets you both high AND couchlocked. it's very similar smoking to taller & stretchier mataro blue.

i think it would really improve in the cross i made with joey weed's discontinued slightly grapey, but too energetic to sit still on C99. something in between those 2 would be better than either. C99 is more clearheaded and motivational than psychoactive and lower odor too, but not as compact or sexy. the frosty white crystals on those deep olive green leaves with fish bone ridges in LSD are a thing of beauty. i wish i'd taken a pic later in flowering. it was one of the sexiest looking plants i've ever seen.

here it is at the START of flowering anyways
LSD cropped.jpg

please do share your smoke reports. i'd like to hear if it has more energetic phenos. i just can't get past any strain that puts you to sleep, even one like this that takes it's time doing so. TOTALLY energy neutral with even higher psychoactivity 8 miles high is more my speed. pun intended.

LSD crossed with really grapey & haze buzzed super cali haze would be awesome as that strain is slow & stretchy. LSD would definitely improve it's yield and keep the grapey goodness. maybe i'll end up trying to shrink SCH with C99xLSD if that turns out to be more energy neutral than either strain.

do keep us posted. the strain needs more reporting for sure. people that don't mind couchlock will love it i'm sure. it's SOOOOOOO sticky!!!

I grew out a few phenos of LSD a few times and I did not like it much either. It has nice dense buds and the bag appeal was nice but the smoke wasn't that great. My buddies didn't seem to like it either. This strain lacks quite a bit in my opinion. It was also a bitch to trim too because it had a lot of leaves on the buds "much more than I am used to". I would give this strain maybe a 6/10.

Ah man I hope it turns out... I have 4 going right now 3 weeks in to flower and I just ordered another 5 pack... I really hoped it would live up to the whole magical package of strong smoke (anything less than strong is weak for me) that is short growing and fast flowering (9 weeks or less).

this is my second grow with LSD and i love it.i love a couchlock buzz andything less is just half a buzz and not worth my time.my pheno has hardly any leaves to trim at all and a great sour smell and taste.it was the fastest selling, out selling white widow and california hash plant.here's a vid of em.lsd in the back, white widow on the right and CHP on the left.

some people like couchlock and some like me hate it with a passion. LSD is definitely better than street beasters as there IS some high & euphoria going on, but i'll NEVER like couchlock if it interferes with activity in any way. i can tolerate the lead eye of 12.5% afghani haze skunk, but only because it's overpowered by alertness & motivation.

LSD is a great plant for fans of mids that get you both high AND stoned at the same time or people that like both. i'm sure i'll like C99xLSD more.

naw... i'll just grow strains i DO like such as super cali haze, haze skunk & 8 miles high.

i'm familiar with the early harvest trick (actually the 20 strain MIXED leaflet trim i was getting was REALLY nice in the mid 90s... can't get any earlier harvested than that, or lower yields. LOL) but are you familiar with vaporizing? that cuts couchlock down too.

i prefer to just buy strains with superior THC profiles to begin with to try and keep them in the market as afghani & greed STILL keep crowding good gear out & IBLs go extinct. i WISH i could grow IBLs!

ill be growing 20 lsd plants soon. al organic using the full line of BMO.
i also agree with some people liken a sativa better than and indica high. i personaly like both depending on what im bout to do..indica helps with my anxietxy

if you like both getting high & stoned, you'll love LSD then as it's a true mid. i just have no patience for couchlock at all, so even a mid like LSD rubs ME the wrong way.

just be prepared for rock hard sticky nuggets. i'm not a fan of those either.

As a person with anxiety issues "panic attacks and such" I found LSD to be a terrible strain for anxiety. The best strain I have found for anxiety is og #18. Then again your anxiety could differ from mine but if you have issues with panic attacks I wouldn't recommend LSD.

anxiety tends to get increased with psychoactive strains as they make the mind wander and as much as they make fun stuff even funner, they make bummers EPIC. i STILL think the two gals i knew that both said they got dosed at concerts smoking weed just had something REAL for the first time in their lives like columbian gold which tended to make me think commies were always hiding things on me when i couldn't find them. anyone who has anxiety issues would be better suited with a mid or at least a milder high strain.

no shit... in high school, before i actually started smoking, i joined some dudes i wasn't friends with as they were planning a gangbang with this "friendly gal". she sat across all of our laps in the back seat while a doobie got passed around. i declined because i tried useless hits on a clogged bowl at a cousins and got nothing. when we took an offramp i'd never been on before that ran parallel to an onramp, i thought the driver made a wrong turn. i commented "hey, aren't we going the wrong way?" and then chickie poo starts FUHREEKIN' OUT! i'm talking a full on meltdown screaming "let me out! let me out!" literally trying to claw her way out of a moving car as we had to restrain her! that chick should NEVER smoke haze x skunk!

if you'd like something lighter, 8 miles high has more euphoria than edginess and jillybean is supposed to be laugh your ass off euphoric.

if you like euphoria & don't mind a stone, you should try classic skunk #1. i didn't like it because i hate even a little couchlock, but it does have a nice mellow happy buzz.

that really squat looking one on the top right is kind of what this one ended up looking like, but for some reason, the leaves in mine ended up a lot darker
LSD cropped.jpg

i thought i remembered my leaves being broader than yours. i must have got an indica pheno. that's probably why it wasn't that psychoactive and had such a potent stone. i bet your thinner leaf gals smoke better than my shorty did. please do share a smoke report, i'd like to hear how yours compares to mine.

People seen to be trashing BF LSD, but I personally found it to be an extremely happy high with almost zero anxiety.

oh, did i not mention it's euphoria?

i tend to come off as harsh WHENEVER couchlock is in the picture because i absolutely despise it and have no use for it, but, even if i DID have an indica pheno, i can honestly say that LSD did kick EVERYTHING's ass i ever bought in NY after gold disappeared except maybe a couple choice top of the pile mexican brick sacks. i'd call it a close tie with the skunk #1 i was getting for a couple weeks. at 1st, the skunk was less couchlocking, but LSD was definitely more psychoactive.

if couchlock doesn't piss you off, LSD is great. me? i'd rather go in the exact opposite direction with C99 which isn't psychoactive (JW's anyways) and also has euphoria, but that won't put you to sleep. LSD literally knocked me out after about 2 hours from just a few hits. that never agrees WITH ME.

if you like mids... LSD is awesome & REALLY sticky. i might have called it glue if i bred it.

i bet you a nickel i'll have much nicer things to say about laughing buddha even if it's a bigger plant that takes longer to grow.

The first time I grew this strain (from seeds bought from Attitude) it was great. Took a long time to finish as I recall, but it was awesome: sticky, big, aromatic and potent. The plants I have grown from clones have been crap. Even the 2nd generation was, forget the third. It could very well be entirely my own fault, however I am growing like 5 other strains (about 20 plants in all) and the others are great. I don't think this strain clones well at all.

mine was the shortest plant i've grown that wasn't a lowryder. i started flowering it the same time i did my joey weed C99s and it was at least half a foot shorter than my short pheno cindys. i might just use the C99 cross i made with it for breeding shorter IBLs if some of the couchlock gets tamed because the high & euphoria part of it's buzz were nice.
