last I checked the vbulletin software has the option to allow or prohibit google bots from indexing the site for search results

obviously it's being allowed... either this was overlooked or they enjoy the traffic it generates.

also, adjusting member settings\ranks and category permissions can aide in this as well, although it is tedious work. a google bot is basically a forum "guest" so if you adjust ranks and permissions indexing can be limited.

well most sites im on block google so i just figured this board is the same way guess not seeing as theres 48 pages of my name on Google lol

Oh i know its one of the best boards EVER!! lol :blsmoke:

Not to worried though my name isnt anywhere and some of those posts are older then dirt (my other hobby mustangs) and seeing as I lived in a variety of places in the last few years that involve in and out the country not to stressed just surprised to see my name in so many pages of Google thats all

wait a minute you mean the internet isnt just at my computer.,. are you trying to tell me the internet is all over the world and whats on it is open for anyone to see??? lol yeah its no secret but would be nice if roll had the bots blocked but the site is now a money maker and advertisers want hits and promotion so doubt we will convince roll to take the communities side on this one

people google this site and it says it's worth X amount of $'s. i think that's based on hits. i'm not sure but i don't think it takes into account that this is an illegal grow site. not to many people breaking down the doors to advertise here. if you know what i mean. :mrgreen::eyesmoke::eyesmoke:
