Ah, I see. It's amazing to hear that your LEDs outperform your buddy's HPS! I've never heard that before. Sounds like you're using AN nutes, I'm thinking of switching over as so many heavy growers here say that no other nutes come close to the yield. Would you mind listing your nute line-up? I've finally got into the mindset to never skimp on anything, as the price of one or two ozs more than covers any extra expense (esp. now that I make my living this way). I went with LED to avoid high power bills, plain and simple. It was a learning process, and some LED's really do suck. I have no cooling (A/C), I have one fan, and the lights.... that's all I run. Temps never above 28 Celsius...
The nugs usually finish very nicely, not rock hard but they aren't airy at all! This Area 51 has definitely produced me the nicest buds out of any LED I've ever used. Never used HID, only ever done outdoor and LED - but my friend uses HID and my buds are always better than his!
That being said, I use a SHIT LOAD of very expensive nutes....

Edit: just read the OP, I see the listing of AN products. Have you ever used other nutes indoors as a comparison of yield? At what ratios do you use the AN products? I heard that if you use the recommended doses your PPM will be way too hot. Sorry for all the questions, but you seem to know your shit...

My hydro shop guy will be SO pleasedI use the recommended dosages, but I give them straight water every other water..... they seem to like it?

It's tap water, and I usually still give them B-52, Sesnizyn, and Voodoo Juice, but usually no nutes.... if they look thirsty or when I first switch them to flower they get full strength all the time, just have to watch how they react and adjust accordingly.Money does grow on trees!
