My blue Hawaiian put the carbon filter to shame..so I bought a new one,installed..still some odor(its vented outside).now I'm adding a 6ij inline ozone generator after a carbon filter on the end
.the tent is in a room SLIGHTLY bigger,And its all sealed, With r-3 foam boards, and those are even taped with HVAC tape at the seams...but when I walk in the room I smell it leaked out of the tent in the room usually,I do have positive pressure on the tent when the exhaust system is on..
I only need 2 zippers for the tent the way its installed..thinking all seams sprayed with this sealant could help?any insite, experience? I'm questioning it the non pourus material will reject adhesion?the HVAC tape didn't take to the inside of the tent very well...
Thanks for taking the time guys!(:-))

You need negative air pressure in the tent. If you are venting outside and/or have proper filtering, no odor should leak, as all air is being sucked INTO the tent, then through the filter/to outside.

No way I'd seal any zippers. Any small air gaps I have, air is sucked inwards so it's impossible to leak.

What size fan do you have pulling air through the tent?

They're both the same 4in vortex, ones just impeded flow thru the filter..but I will keep the positive pressure,I will not go into the reason as its a growing technique and the discussion itself causes heated debates and I don't want to retract from the issue..
To elaborate the tent is in a sealed walking closet, vented in and out thru the tent and wall thru open crawlspace to the eave of the 2nd story roof..the smell(I think) is from what is leaked into the closet, where my portable a.c. sets..the a.c. has a hood over the output and its attached to a hose, with the inline fan going into the tent pulling a.c. air into it(my ghetto minisplit:-))
So the air going in the a.c. is contaminated with smell, and its exhaust is also..its a 1 tube a.c.,not a dual...
I'm thinking if I seal up the tent(not worried about the seams and other zippers,if its permanent, oh well) the contained air in the a.c. space won't smell, ergo,no contamed a.c. exhaust..

Gorilla tape is pretty good.
It sucks in the long run..I've used it for years, aluminum HVAC tape is way better.the combo is unbeatable, strength and air tight seal.
But if you read, even the HVAC doesn't stick well on the inside...haven't tried the outside, but it may,if so it may back up the sealant if I go that way..
