It is great soil. There are nutrients as well as humic and fulvic supplements amended to that soil. If you would like something cheaper you are going to be paying by adding nutrients, perilite, etc to it. An option for you could be promix. it's about $30 for 3.8 cu ft.
Here is a suggestion on promix from roorman on another forum (I try not to link to other ones).
You can play with the amounts, which is the nice thing about making your own mix. This should get you started:
10-20% Perlite: for added drainage and soil aeration. Use closer to 20% for flowering mixes.
10-30% Worm Castings: for nitrogen, added micronutrients and aeration.
1-2% Dolomite lime: Pro-Mix BX Seed and Clone has this already added! So I don't add it. Basic Pro-Mix, to my knowledge, does not. Dolomite lime helps stabilize the pH of the soil. Pro-Mix is mainly peat and as the peat breaks down the soil gets more acidic. Dolomite lime is used to combat this natural lowering of the pH.
2-4% Kelp meal and/or Guano: For additional macro/micornutrients.

No. MG if full of wood, bark, bugs and TR nutes.
It amazes me that people growing stuff that sells for $100's/OZ and they won't spend 25 bucks for the item that has a major influnce on your crop.

If you start using crap you will almost always end with crap or burned plants.

I'm growing for the experience, and for free smoke. I got robbed 3 days ago and had my safe of my money, bud, gun, and paraphernalia. I am definitely not going to deal. Also, Fox Farm is much more than $25.00.

Obviously, your wrong. I made this thread for help, not for someone to agree with. I wasn't just talking about FF Ocean Forest. I was talking about FF Big Bloom®, Grow Big® and Tiger Bloom® too. So stop trying to 1up me on everything and do something else.
