Did they match your fans?

I’ve seen plenty of people get a filter for their fan that’s the same size eg 6” fan 6” filter but when you get them to check the specifics of each their filter is rated at 250CFM and their fan is 350CFM which means the air passes the filter bed too quickly to be scrubbed effectively.

personally I use Rhino Pro.

Phresh is what I'd use if I were growing illegally, lots of others do a decent enough job just to cut down on the dank fumes though.

Adjustable ac infinity fan, turned cfm down and still shitty, i just think vivosun is very low quality......

Phresh filters is my 1st choice, I've also a rhino pro which works well but I've heard that the newer ones aren't as good as the older idk?

I’m legal but I still filter and only use Phresh now. They last and are way lighter weight than the Vivosun too.

I was told if you use hard water in your humidifier that it drastically reduces the life span of the carbon? I dont use a humidifier so cant say if its bull shit or not.
I do wrap mine in plastic in the off season (summer) seams to help it last.

I've been using Vivosun for years and have never had any issue with smell. Like @jondamon said you may be pulling too much air too quick through them.

Been refilling my Active Airs for 7 years.
It’s actually time for me to start shoppin again here. When I look at their filters I don’t see it saying refillable or any charcoal for it. Do they still sell a refillable? Also what do you order to refill it with? I’d switch if I found a good refillable. Been saving the old ones for the metal yard and it’s just so wasteful.

Alright I answered my own question and in case anyone else is wondering. I figured the housing would be easy but I didn’t know what kind of charcoal you’d refill the thing with. Looking like ‘4x8 activated carbon’ gets me the right stuff. Gonna order a big ass bag and try to refill this time so wish me luck haha.
