That is a very clean set-up. What have you used for the black lids that you have placed over the cutout cooler lid? (with the insulation underneath, I presume)

I am going to use a couple to finish some plants in my flood & drain which are ahead of the rest of the crop, with just RO water for flushing. My temps don't get hot, so my water should stay good (in fact, I have to warm it to start with because it is cold out of the unit).

i built the same set up but I just used a jig saw to cut a hole on the lid for my 5.5 inch net pots.

Mine must be getting close to 80 degrees during the day. no problems yet...
Awesome I have heard similar stories with success, I had the extra funds to spend on the set up so I didnt want to take any chances especially being a rookie and all, but hey if it works for ya then more power to you.... " dont drink and drive , stay high and fly" These coolers beat purchasing a water chiller those fuckers run up to 500 bones.

What's up Professor Boomer !? Long time no talk ! lol

BH, I use rapid rooters to place my beans in once the sprout, then into the net pots and hydroton for about 1 - 2 days until they break the surface depending on the tap root length.

SPS, the coolers will keep your temps perfect, 64F - 68F for me.

Check out my updates !!!

Hey anybody know what happened to leonsroach?, im trying to find out how he modified the tops of his team jugs
He's probably busy a couple months ago he said he would post step by step instructions.. I really didnt modify my tops, I just took a jig saw cut a whole to fit my 5.5'' net pot and then lined the top with aluminum tape you can buy at any hardware store. By the way these coolers have kept my water temps from 68-69 degrees for over a week now.. No lies..

Yeah, I too was wondering how he did this. Instead, I just got a giant mesh bucket lid. I figure theres more places for the rootmass to go and spread out. I just hope that the rez temp will stay cool despite the lack of the original lid.

i made some changes to my cooler, i basically added a sub-pump so i wouldnt have to lift the lid anymore to drain/flush/fill etc... i also opted to use the cooler lid instead of styrofoam, and it works well... i just used a jigsaw to cut the holes, threw some panda film over everything for good measure and to keep my lid real clean...

hi great setup!! love the cooler idea! would like to know step by step build if you still know everything you used and how u modified the top plz and thanks. Been using a rubbermaid system and having problems with it already. hi water temps and light getting in are the big problems. Will be trying to grow kings kush and like the idea of seperate containers for each so if (god forbid) something happens to one it does not kill them all. Should i run each individually or connect them with a common rez?? plz help really want to get a good harvest from kings kush

Thanks in advance
