Best method for dealing with runoff?

Hello, I am growing in a grow tent with soil and I was wondering about how to deal with runoff water. Obviously trays can be used to collect excess water, but where do we go from there? Or should something else entirely be done? Thank you for your time.

take the pots out and water in a 5 gallon bucket let the water run off and then dump it after..

I water till I see a tiny bit of runoff coming out into the tray, but my pots somehow absorb it all back up into the dirt after like 15 minutes. pretty cool IMO... lol

naw?? I bleach the entire grow room between each grow, and bleach the trays every few waterings. plus its really not that much water

mine does the same thing n i never had a problem with root rot. it'll be ok..
