All Bud has it listed as a Hybrid, bred from Pakistani Plants. Which to me says it was bred from at least 2 types of strains native to Pakistan.

They may be only 1 valley apart, but even at that, the microclimates can vary greatly. Same for Nepali, or Afghani weed. There is great variation in IBL from Nepal, and Afghanistan, even from 1 valley, to the next. Its most likely a Hybrid, of 2 IBLs that have been stabilized, which instead of making thm an IBL, they would be an Inbred Stabilized Hybrid.

Pine Tar Kush is a 100% pure indica hybrid strain that is a direct descendant of the infamous Kush strain. This infamous bud is named for its super woody flavor and insanely sticky feel. Pine Tar Kush has a taste of pungent earthy pine with a hint of woody citrus that becomes spicy upon exhale, intensifying as you continue to smoke. The aroma is just as tangy, with a skunky sweet smell that has hints of kushy citrus and pine. Pine Tar Kush buds have small and leafy super round bright neon green nugs with sparse thin orange hairs, frosty gold trichomes, and an almost dripping coating of super sticky resin. Although it's best known for its appearance and taste, Pine Tar Kush is beloved for its effects as well. The high starts with a euphoric and happy uplifting effect that leaves you blissful and slightly focused. As the high builds, you'll feel a buzzing effect in the back of your head and in your neck that relaxes you and spreads throughout the rest of your body. This body buzz will leave you sleepy and sedated with a ravenous sense of hunger that leaves you scrambling to find snacks anywhere you can before you get too sleepy to move. These effects and its powerful 18-22% average THC level make Pine Tar Kush perfect for treating conditions such as mild to moderate cases of depression, insomnia, muscle spasms or cramps, and lack of appetite.
The story I heard is that Tom Hill directly aquired Pine Tar Kush from Pakistan and Deep Chunk from another indica producing region and kept both lines pure for decades. My friend acquired PTK directly from Mr. Hill about 2000 and IBL'd them himself, before giving them to me 4 years ago.

Nl5 and Pin Tar Kush are both hybrids.

A good landrace Indica would be an

Underground seeds collective Black Afghani.

A good Landrace sativa would be an

AkBeanBrains Durban Poison. This Durban Poison originated from the 80s Super Sativa Seed Club, and was never hybridized. It originally cme from Mel Frank. Most other DP is hybridized. Sensi Seeds version is Hybridized.
Ace Seeds also has a pure Malawi Gold, when its not sold out.

Pure Haze is also a Hybrid, but is heavy on the Colombian Gold genetics.

Authentic Genetics Purest Indica may also be a Land Based Original. Its the basis for all northern Lights strains.
Dagga Gardens has Coastal Seeds Burmese IBL. Theyr dont 1st week of October.
All sounds good mate but technically the black afghani would be an heirloom strain as its been bred out of its region of origin for some time even though its been kept pure to me true landrace is from only the country of origin p1 stock thing is with landrace most folk wouldnt want it what they want is an heirloom like your suggesting as using p1 stock to find good stuff takes time skill and luck why id say few people actually want true landraces im just putting this out there this isnt so much aimed at you as everyone bud i know you been around man i just see so many people mixing up landraces and heirlooms

@thumper60 I'm looking at that seedback you mentioned, Getaway Mountain, they on Deer Isle? Anyway I found a thread on here where you had tried a bunch of their strains and had mold issues, plus you didn't seem to care for the plant structure. Didn't sound like a ringing endorsement. What exactly has your experience been with their seed?

Trying to find outdoor strains that work in maine is always a crap shoot for 2-3 yrs I grew getaways Pinewarp an R2 with good results but you gotta run them over the winter Then pick out the ones you want an do a reveg to have mothers to clone. Some got pm some got budrot but i have learned alot the last few yrs since then about pm an budrot. All i can say is they are as good as the next breeder selling outdoor strains.I like the run lots of differnt strains last yr i ran Ethos this yr Iam running Humbolt seeds.

OK, thanks, I may give them a shot then. Thinking about that orange skunk.
His line up has changed a lot last few yrs if they made fems I would try some of his lines I just dont have the time to work thur reg seeds. If he has straight R2 be well worth trying.

Look into the Vashon Seeds and Mercantile......... Eki Bird.

It is an early pheno of a strain named Early Bird.

Early Bird is bred to be cold, and mold resistant, and very fast flowering. It has been bred in the Pacific Northwest, Vashon Island is in the Peugeot Sound in Washington State. This stuff is done between the 1st and second week of September. Inside its done in 40-49 days.

Remember Eki Bird is the same strain as early Bird. It is just an earlier Pheno. Theyre sold out of Early Bird.

Vashon Early Bird is a mostly indica variety from Vashon and can be cultivated indoors (where the plants will need a flowering time of ±40 days) and outdoors. Vashons Vashon Early Bird is a THC dominant variety and is/was never available as feminized seeds.

Vashons Vashon Early Bird Description

The original Early Bird came from Super Sativa Seed club in the 80s, and also went by the name M26. It was also bred or colder, and wet conditions, and mold resistance.
Sagarmath did/does have an early Bird x Skunk, and Id say the used the original SSSC early Bird in their cross. I think there version was/is feminized only. Not 100% sure.

Im not sure but the Vashon early Bird may also have some of the original SSSC genetics in it. Also not sure if Sagarmatha worked their line to retain the mold resistane, and early flowering like the original, and Vashon.

The Vashon Male used is from Unknown Origins, but Im betting it came from the original SSSC Early Bird. I cant prove it, but its fishy it has the same name as the original SSSC gear.

The female is a Vashon Kush which is a combination most likely said to be NL, OG Kush, Hindu Kush, Unknown Afghan Landrace. They also dont state which NL. Im betting NL1. Though I cant prove that. It may be that the original VSM Male has Skunk in it, as its listed as unknown linage, as is the original SSSC Early Bird is listed as a sativa/Indica Hybrid, so it could have Sk in it, but I cant prove that either. But is possible.

I would also speculate the Sagarmatha is from the original Early Bird genetics crossed with a Skunk. They list theirs as Early Bird Skunk. Id say they got their genetics from SSSC stock.

This is a description of the SSSC Early Bird.

Early Bird is an indica/sativa variety from S.S.S.C. and can be cultivated outdoors. S.S.S.C.s Early Bird is a THC dominant variety and is/was never available as feminized seeds.
S.S.S.C.s Early Bird Description
Logo Super Sativa Seed Club M26
An early Dutch cold-resistant strain. Inbreed for three generations. Breeding plants were selected for early maturation and quality of the high. Some individuals will have purple seedbracts. Most of the plants are very resinous. The yield varies from plant to plant. Harvest first/second week of September.

Alot of their stuff was nevils work or old dutch stuff or both put together. Not really good breeders as most was done for them.
