I can't find the thread but basically one guy made homemade carbon pouches.

There are scotch brite cloth towels (Almost like shop towels) that you can get. Then you just get some aquarium carbon (For like filters and shit) Fill up your pouch and sew it up. Instead of dropping a min of 40 bucks on a carbon device, make your own for 3 bucks a pop. Make four of em and you shouldn't smell much. All components are easily found at any major department store.

I am using a soup can filled w/charcoal at the end of my bathroom vent exhaust. Seems to be doing great, I also have several glade plugins around the house and burn a candle when I go into the tent. GL

I used Ona Gel and it worked great for 5 plants. However, carbon filters are better. Next time I'm going with carbon. Just do a Google search for Ona gel if you want to go that route. I got mine off Amazon.com for $20.

i use a carbon filter. for residual smell i also have a automatic ozium dispenser in the room i vent my exhaust into. with a small gro like 2 plants you could prob get away with just ozium or an ona product.

I grew 2 great plants in a cabinet & the smell was a REAL bitch... from my experience, nothing beats an inline fin & a Cana carbon filter. I tried home made jobs, bounce sheets, ona, etc etc. The $100 I spend on the inline & filter was the best purchase I have ever made towards my grow. I even include it above my HPS lights.

I had a full on carbon filter in my previous larger closet grow,

Now im down scaling in size to 80w x 40d x 90h.

I want some kind of smell removal, but I am at a loss of what to do, I cannot really fit a traditional carbon filter + fan set up in there.

Im interested in those febreeze plug in cabon filters if anyone has had any experience with these???

Thanks - Keep it green

Never tried in a closet grow cause I have a full sized growroom but Ona did shit for my 9 Hawaiian Snows so I ended up getting a carbon filter. The way I see it, it has a lot to do with how stinky you strain is too. Mine was dunk!

Addition to previous post, that is if i can get those febreeze plug in carbon filters in the uk that is!

And Im planning on experimenting with strains, but yeah, some do seem to stink more than others.

You might be surprised how little most strains smell these days. A couple plants in a closet (depending on the "smellablility" of the strain) may not have any odor at all. But, If you're worried, I have a home-made CHEAP "sting bucket" that works like a champ.

Get a five gal bucket. Get a 11 inch fan from Walmart. Put a gallon of water in the bucket and add a couple Tbs of ONA to the water. (ONA is an odor neutralizing Agent you can order on line or buy in the baby dept. of most Walmarts OR at any nursery--some folks add a tsp to their diaper hamper and many organic growers use it to neutralize the smell of organic ferts).

Anyway, add the ONA to the water, place the fan on top of the bucket blowing OUT and turn it on. Your whole house will smell like it was just scrubbed by Super Maid.
