trim the bottom stem up. If theres small branches, or stretch ones. Just cut them off. Same if you see small branches that will have to stretch lots to keep up with the canopy.

Its a waste of time and energy for the plant.

I got like 3 of those total i have like 2 branches on 1 plant and 1 on another plant. I trimmed the bottom 3rd of all the branches and of the plant but there are like 3 branches on all the plants total that are small and not getting alot of light so i will cut those tonight i guess. I dont want to cut all the ones that are not as tall do i i have alot that are good sized but not as tall. I feel like that would be completely wrong and they will still get enough light and get some decent buds just wont be as tall as the main canopy. I only have like 2 branches on each plant that are as tall as the main stalk and make up the main canopy. Anyway the ones that are small that i will be cutting are all around where i tied the plant down and it started growing up and those nodes were on the backside of where i tied it down and when the main stem started growing straight up again they got blocked from the light. So i will trim those tonight let me know if this is correct or should i be trimming more. I will try to take some better pics but i am using my phone so its hard. Do they look pretty well trimmed from my last pic though?

You really wanna focus your buds in specific areas. Lower branches wont yield much. Pruning will only focus there energy on top. Dont let your plant waste energy on that bottom stuff. Ull learn as u go.

Ok so i took you advice and did trimmed up the bottom brnaches they were going to have to fight for light. There were about 6 overall and i dont know if im to far into flower to clone those branches and revert them back to veg but hey whats it going to hurt if im already cutting them off i might as well try right. So thats what i did i cut about 6 lower branches off about 2 from each plant and i tried to clone them. Ill update some pics in a minute

I have to leave at 4 today and go out of town for 3-4 days probly 3 so i will get back like tuesday. I do my res change every week on Sunday night. However i will not be in town Sunday night so do you guys think i should just let it be till tuesday when i get back or should i interupt their dark period that they are in now and change the water out real quick. Im thinking leaving it be till tuesday will be fine and not hurt them but just need some advice and to be told that will be fine. Also i have a plant upstairs in soil thats 6-7 weeks into flower and i take it out of the closet every night and put it in a dark space becasue i have clones under the same light which recieve 24 hour light. The plant in flower is small and just a personal sour diesel. Should i let the plant stay under the lights for 3 days while im gone or should i give it 3 days or darkness while im gone?

id change now, doing it one day early wont hurt, but if you wait till tuesday your taking a bigger risk

So you think interupting their light cycle is better then leaving the res an extra 2-3 days? I change the res every 7 days and i changed it last sunday night so if i leave it till Tuesday it will only be 10 days. I feel like fing with their dark time and changing the res would be worse but i dont know which is why im asking.

Ok i have decided to just change the res when i get back Tuesday night. I measured the plants this morning back left is 20" back right is 16" front left is 15" and front right is 17 1/2 inches so they are still getting taller about 1/2 inch every day or two. Anyway im out ill be back in a few days and then post some pics and updates on their size and how they look when i get back. They are super healthy roots look great leaves are nice big and green and the flowers are coming in nicely. Hopefully when i get back and check they will be just as healthy and be about 1-2 inches taller and have started devleoping some buds. Anyway keep my girls in your prayers and lets hope that is enough to keep them healthy while im away. Hope everyone has a good weekend and your girls stay healthy as well. AND IM OUT!!!

Some of your plants have really developed little buds for 16 days. I was just thinking that if you had topped them they would be bushier covering more of the grow area. At the same time those plants could very well fill out the space. Either way you are going to get some nice buds.

this is my 1st post on RIU!!
How often do you adjust the PH in the res?? do you do it weekly when you make the soup, OR do you drain, adjust and then refill daily?? OR do you just adjust in the res it self??

Also you may want to consider running your clones on a 18/6 rather then 24/7. My friend had 100% success rate cloneing under a 12/12 hps without hormones!!!. however it took too much time to revert to veg so ied go 18/6 rather then 24/7.... BUT BUT if you leave for days i would try to 12/12 the closet, clones and all. Im not 100% but i think it takes more time for the clones to start flowering then it would for the flowering Sour D to revert to vegg.

RECAP: I would rather expose my clones too 3 days of 12/12 then my floweing SD to 3 days of darkness/ 3 days of 24/0 light

just my thoughts for food

Lookin good man!

and PDN you didn't ask me, but I can attempt to answer. The first pH treatment is done after the nutes are mixed, and right before they are dumped into the tub to bring it as close to 5.5-5.6 as possible. Then ideally you want to go in and measure/adjust back down again at least once a day every day until your next res change. the pH will rise steadily in a healthy system, but will rise much quicker in the early days of the week than the later days. You don't need to drain, you just dip your pH pen into the res, measure, then adjust accordingly. Res gets changed once a week :)
