It's hard to believe this guy has had a career of not being very funny........most of it as appearances on such shows as Married with Children, Rosanne, Newhart, EdTV, etc and a history of terrible TV movies in the early 2000's. He's a much better writer then performer for sure........

Sometimes it takes some longer then others to find what they are good at. It looks like he's done looking.

He needs to lose the " new rules" it's not funny and the show is too short to interview a guest to start the show. .just let the 3 panel members and Bill fill the 48 minutes.
Well, he is a comedian and comedy writer who kind of evolved into a political comedian. He still would want his comedy bits in there.

And it's a whole 60 minutes, I believe, plus another 5-10 minutes on line right after the show on HBO overtime site.
No commercials on HBO.

I like his monologue, but the " new rules" bit sucks..the writers must blow, his comedic wit comes through when he's tearing some righty a new one.

What the fuck are you blathering about? Bill is one of the most intellectual comedians out there now. I guess that is why you don't understand his humor, because it may be funny only to people who have an IQ that is over 100. Or maybe you don't know who he is, because he has never been on those TV shows that you mention.

At any rate, his political-leaning coincides with his intellectual slant, which means liberal, so I'm sure that is why you spewed this crap.

He has had his own television show for over 20 years, so obviously many people like to watch him.

QFT.

Nearly 30 years if you count stand-up routines and 'Politically Incorrect'.

I've always been a supporter of his, however when Sanders conceded (Bill supported him) he started in on Bernie Babies and falling in line like he did.

That was wrong and he has no right to tell others how or who to vote..the rage was severe because the cunt cheated, conspired and manipulated behind the scenes to win.

Should've let the chips fall were they may.

The media was just as guilty, too.

NOW we've got Trump and I blame Clinton and the media.

Bernie's Babies gave as well as they got. It was a heated argument with both sides mis-characterizing the other. What you say is your opinion, not fact. When Bernie's babies tried to take down Clinton with that shady half truth propaganda shit, it required exactly the kind of response that Maher provided. Did your feelings get hurt over the squabble?

This isn't helpful, this doesn't change the outcome, and this is a tactic of the alt-right trump supports. Wanting to place blame.
Blame isn't helpful, but hope is. I hope for a better outcome next time. I hope that people will wake the fuck up to the things trump is doing and protest. To not let him and his government get away with anything. And I hope there is a candidate next election that people can get behind, feel inspired by and they will vote for them to be the next president.
It doesn't matter what happened last time, it's done. Hope for the future, don't blame for the past.

1. I'm not a Bernie Baby
2. I don't know anything about propaganda, half truths you're talking about
3. I don't know what squabble you're referring.

Talk to those who are still fighting over primary. I've moved on. Clearly they haven't.

Sanders was a guest on Real Time repeatedly. Bill would let him come on monthly if Bernie wanted to.

I think Bill wanted to defeat Trump and expected Democrats to 'fall in line' for that reason. If the Clinton-Sanders race was razor close (I voted for Bernie) I might have been upset. 4 million votes is a lot of separation. I may have seen some 'dirty politics', I didn't see that it mattered in the primary outcome.

And of course you disagree. Lol.
