Blackroom?

All right, i would like some honest feedback.

I was thinking about blocking off a segment of my loft with a dark thick blanket i have, I cleaned out a fishtank, threw some dark paint around it, dried it.

I hung a blanket for now, and so far it seems that about 99% of the light is blocked off, im also using a big piece of plywood that is currently leaning against the tank to help fend off light.



right now i can't really think of anything else to do for a "flowering box" or something


any ideas?

why a fish tank? you need a container that water can drain out of... correct?

There is this stuff called VISQUEEN or panda cloth... the shit is awesome.. COMPLETELY light tight... black on one side and an awesome white refecltive surface on the other!!!!

I think he means hes gonna put the pots inside the tank and use the tank as a grow box. He said "right now i can't really think of anything else to do for a "flowering box" or something". I assume hes using it as the box.

here let me walk you through this

first off you have your water in the aquarium with a pump attached to that is pvc/tubing and a t connector

at the t connector two more pvc with holes cut into them and misters installed

above that is sheet of osb plywood with 3 inch holes netted pots and some sort of netting to catch the roots(pantyhose-fish net?)

for support drill a couple holes and use long bolts with hangers or at the top fix a support system that hangs over the aquarium

now wrap mylar ( you can get it from emergency blankets on ebay) around some cardboard

duct tape the cardboard to the edges of the aquarium and the rest you can figure out

Yah, i sealed off a little loft and painted the fish tank black, put up a huge wool blanket. its just to seal of ALL SOURCES OF LIGHT.

i also considered turning the tank into a hydro box for my next season thanks!

I mean, all its doing is sitting there, empty, with my plant in there, in the dark. lol =P
