Both. He was a little over 12 so he had a good life.

He had something that was affecting his joints which made walking hard.

On Tuesday, the vet thought we could manage the discomfort with pain meds while they figured out what it was.

By yesterday evening he wasn't able walk properly and he quickly lost his bladder control.

Going to be a warm week here too....I'm kind of glad as it was cooling off too much for me! The cool nights are nice though.

Glad I didn't remove my window AC units yet!!

No work for me today, other than studying up and trying to help my sick veg girls....Starting with mixing some fresh nutes and checking runoff PH and EC.

I really need to take a bike ride or 2 before summer is over!! Perhaps today...

I had to put my old boy down Friday, he was 14 1/2 yrs old.
It's just so hard this weekend, especially for his partner, Miss Snarly. She was with him since a puppy, her pack.
She barked for him, looked out the windows for him at breakfast. Then had a broken heart when the postman came, no one to snarl with her.

Today I am striking back against the corporate world! I have an appointment. It's a very polite strike.

I just realized that I don't need the cable TV equipment and I haven't needed any of it in the last 2 years. I think I've paid around $25-30/mo. So I made an appointment to return it. That in itself is a little bit bizarre of an experience. You have to check in and wait for your announcement on your phone. Then you stand at a little kiosk for about 10 minutes while they check in, tag, and stow the inventory. It's bit like a scene from Good Omens. It' easier if you hit the vaporizer before you go.

Mine was fine Wednesday morning and by evening had stopped eating or drinking and became weak and unsteady on her feet. Ultrasound the next day showed a mass on her liver. 48 hours later we let her go. She would have been 13 in November and had the best life we could give her. It was actually 3 weeks ago but it sure feels fresh. This was our last walk together, she wasn't able to make it back to the house and we got the car and made that final journey.20230812_100521.jpg

Our pets don't ask for much and they give so much love in such a short time on earth.
It is our duty to make sure they aren't mistreated and are loved back.
Some indian tribes believe that when we get to the rainbow bridge all the animals we interacted with in our lifetimes are waiting to sit in judgement on whether or not we pass.

Did that about ten years ago. It was weird, like they didn't really want to believe me!

I cut ties about 2 years ago now...Maybe longer. I bought a cheap antenna and mounted it on the roof, and tied it into my existing cable lines, so all my TV's get feed. I don't miss cable a bit!

Now if i could do something about my $75 monthly internet bill :cuss:
