just wanted to show yall my blueberry cheese plant i got going... i love this weed and i reccomend everyone to grow it, im at the 1 month mark and the buds are coming along nicely! overall i think this weed gets a 8/10, the potency and taste is incredible but the yield is a little small compared to comercial strains! this plant is a clone that i took from plants that i harvested a couple months ago, ive found that the b.b. clones grow bigger and healthier than their seed grown sisters! any way im bout to lite a :joint:...:weed:

"Blue Cheese was created by crossing a set of Blueberry males, acquired from several different breeders, with Big Buddha Cheese, the backbone of many of Big Buddha's breeding projects. The resulting seeds were grown out and a male was selected from 40 different Blueberry x Cheese male contestants, becoming the rpoud papa of this pungent strain. The selected Blueberry Cheese male was then crossed once again with a Big Buddha Cheese female, making this hybrid a mostly cheese plant with a hint of blueberry.

Blue Cheese has round swirls of compact flowers that develop distinctly purple hues near the finish. The close internodes of this plant make it highly suitable for sea of green growing. Indoor plants in SOG mature in 8-10 weeks. She produces a huge main cola indoors or out, with respectable additions to the yield from the controlled side branching. In the last two weeks, this strain finishes around Halloween.

Blue Cheese's flavor has a soft fruity kiss of blueberry that fans of the fruit will appreciate, anchored in a strong underlying flavor that is unmistakably Cheese - slightly funky and dank with a woodsy edge. The combined taste is musky and spicy with a sweet cotton candy note and a hint of berries on the exhale. While the yield is not as abundant as some commercial strains selected for their pumped-up buds, growers in search of connesseur flavors will find the yield to be generous when compared to other varieties in the category.

The biggest pleasure of the Blue Cheese is its high, which comes on smooth on easy, and stays very functional while creating a feeling of great euphoria and an opening into outlook. This high opens the mind by relaxing the body. It's comforting, balanced vibe that can take a nice long walk, or sit by the fire at home.

Looks great!

I've got some Skunkberry from Peak about 2 weeks behind yours, similiar genetics - blueberry male and a skunk female. I'm really looking forward to this plant, Peak advertises it as their best strain - "Large juicy tops with that fantastic high most crave."

Mine has only stretched from 16" to 24" (double topped, 4 colas) so far, looks like it's going to be fairly short.

Here's my Blue Cheese from Big Budda. I got a couple of weeks to go. Sorry about the pix with HPS being on and all. I need to go to photo school and learn a few things. Little shorty is a cropped Belladonna in the back of the shot.
I can't wait to try the blue cheese, it sounds sweet! Mine should be cured out before Xmas, yippie!!:weed:

Thanks but I don't expect much as compared to the guy growing the skunkberry. I grew that a few times and had my "jars" full. I really don't deal much with total yeilds as it's only for me, medical, you know. So I don't even weigh out my harvests. If I had to guess I'd say 1.5 - 2.0 oz per plant. I'll make sure I weigh this one just for the information. Then I'll let you know. Good luck with your B cheese!

That top bud on the left looks crazy! That plant looks like a keeper how condensed are the res glands on it?

The glands are fairly dense as well the buds. I didn't veg these but a week so I may have gotten more if I would have waited. I'll try to get some good pics at harvest and get some weights, etc. Sorry about the lag time in reply, I'm traveling down in LA to attend a funeral.

Okay. The first plant I chopped was the smaller one with the larger kola. I just put it in a jar this morning and weighed it and got just over 2 oz. I may lose another 5% in moisture so a solid 2 ounces. The other plant that went a week longer looks as though it will bring in about 2.5 oz. I haven't smoked the fully cured bud yet but the other day the wife and I went out to breakfast (old folk thing) and I tried a couple of quick cured buds and was kinda out of it so says the wife. I was a bit fryed! So a good smoke with a great buzz. Can't wait to try the fully cured bud! Yummy!

The Belladonna really does have trippy rushes... about just under a shroom rush I'd say. I got a good yield off her at about 2 oz. I'm not a SOGreen'r but it would have been great to have about 10-12 of them under one 400W as she was only about 12" high and only took up a very small space. Both of those strains are Blueberry with different skunks mixed in there. They are similar and that's why I like them. My other grows were skunkberry's from PEAK seeds. The yields were a lot better but the high's off the BC and Bella are more complex. I did a few rips off a cured BC bud last night and it was about as blitzed as I need to be. I can see I won't need to do a gram a night now so in a way maybe the yield isn't that important!

i agree with you moldy....a big yield is always nice, but if your only growing for personal use, who cares right? more potent weed will save you from a small yield anyday

Hey Moldy.....nice job! I just got some feminized Big Buddha Blue Cheese. How long did you veg and how tall before flowering? How tall were they when you harvested? I appreciate the info.. I'm thinking of a Scrog because if you top a Blueberry (which is a must or you don't yield as much) you get outstanding branching. Thanks again!!

Hey Flo... Thanks! I just vegged about 2 short weeks. Not very long at all and it was a slight mistake but my HID light was not working. They were about 2' tall and gained a foot after going to 12/12 light. I didn't crop or FIM the B cheeze as it was my first grow in this strain and I wanted to see what it did. I think you'll have a much better yield if you crop or FIM. I'm not real good at that part of growing yet but I did FIM (or supercrop) a Belladonna plant and it really stayed short and bushy. I'll try that when I get some clones off my mother BC but it is going to increase yield for sure.

By the way, I'm smoking about half of what I usually do. I call it "dick in the dirt" bud!:o ...but different (good) strains usually do that to me anyway!!

i am not even going to read any posts here. all i can say is. blue cheese. #1 until you show me something better. iv never had something that i have craved so much. no one should even be allowed to post in this thread. in fact. this thread should just say "BLUE CHEESE" with a period behind it and everyone should just stare in "awe"

edit: ok i lied so i read. Big Buddah Makes blue cheese!?! last time i checked they only make Big Buddah Cheese aka the original cheese and barneys farm was the Original Producer of "Blue Cheese". blue cheese blows "big Buddah cheese" out of the water!

I wish I could try Barney's Blue Cheeze. Have you tried both? I'm very happy with the B Cheeze from B.B. The bud has some blueberry qualities but there is not the fine sugar all over the place that the berry buds seem to have. I've also noticed that after I put the mommy plant into flowering the yeild looks as though it is going to be much better than doing a few days of veg then going directly to flowering. She vegged over a month.:weed:

I'll get pix when they get a little closer...
