B already kinda ran into this before with the whole Bay 11 (Bodhi’s female cut of Appalachia) situation that won someone a cannabis cup with it. Money makes people do the shittiest things to each other.
might have heard this before but forget
at the same time I've heard of his work being stolen w/o attributing credit before
where to read more about this?

Ken from GDP genetics entered flower into a cup that won. The flowers that ken entered as Bay 11 was grown from a mutual friend of Bodhi’s and Kens, the flower was Bodhi’s female Appalachia selection…. After the win Ken wanted to capitalize so he came up with a new Bay 11 recipe to sell some seeds.

Lazy Lightning 60 days. 3 decades doing this and this is best plant I have ever grown or smoked. Selected from 10 females, had sisters that were prettier, and sisters that yielded a little more but this one stood out in the real test. The pipe test! Easy to train into nice canopy, good botrytis resistance, will easily do 2 and half per light every time (in ambient CO2), and a high that will bring a large premium in any market. Don't know if ones like this are 1 in 10 or 1 in 1,000 and I just got lucky, but if I had the room to go to through 1,000 females I would in a heartbeat. This is good example of why you should always keep a cutting of every female until you do the pipe test.IMG_20230504_100428_4.jpgIMG_20230504_100428_4.jpgIMG_20230504_111111_2.jpg

Now this makes me excited to pop the 56Day headband to see how they compare to the Lazy Lightening

Tastes a lot like chem4. Has some lemon/lime to it to me, from what I remember its sisters were similar in smell and taste. It stinks but not like Hashplant D, or the chemD itself. If the high has a ceiling it is way higher than I want to go. Its not couchlock, its hold on and enjoy the ride live wire high. Not for the faint of heart.

I don't see many photos of this cross but here is a Herer Hashplant I grew out a while ago. She was a beauty and had the quintessential Jack Herer terps. I ran her a few more times and even gave her a go outdoors but this was her best run.

Nice job.
I waited around too long on Herer Hashplant and now it’s gone.
I’m massive fan of the Jack Herer strain and usually pick up any crosses I can find with it.
I’d grab a pack of Purple Empress but am too weary of the Purple Unicorn’s tendency to have hermie prone offspring.
At least I was able to get some Zoot for the short period it seemed to be around.
A J1 cross should hopefully carry enough of the Herer gene pool for it to be worthwhile for me.

Attitude UK have the Herer Hashplant in stock. Bit pricey though at 74.99 of His Majesty's British Pounds!

What can you all tell me about Bhodi's Black Raspberry? I just got a clone of it and i'm curious as to what to expect.
I've grown Black Raspberry a few times, indoor and out, and I really liked it.

Large, dense, sticky colas, very productive. It had a strong nose of over ripe black fruit with an incense, cigar box, hashish smell. It was quite strong but not overwhelming, maybe even a little energetic.

On the downside it seemed prone to powdery mildew early and botrytis late, though I'm growing in the rainy PNW, it would probably be fine in a dry climate. The branches were a little spindly and needed support.

Here's one from a few years ago. It finished in mid-October at 45N.

I’ve been disappointed in the quality of genetics I’ve received from GLG. I know they’re just a middleman but still sucks. I dunno if I have super high standards or what but all the seeds I’ve bought online whether it’s from GLG, Archive, Seedsman have underwhelmed. My best quality mom is still from bagseed I popped 5 years ago

That’s kind of a vague statement. Please let me know what genetics you bought from GLG that you think are low in quality?

Bought from Bodhi, 2020 Mendocino, shoreline genetics, tony green. Not a single keeper in any of my packs. Maybe just bad luck but doubt I’ll buy from them again

@hockeystud34 The first breeder that you said Sold low-quality seeds was Bodhi . In this post they’re currently 65,000+ posts about Bodie’s gear. Please read through it before you say he has low quality gear.

I also stand behind the other breeders you mentioned, but I will address them in the appropriate thread.

Please take a moment and read a few pages of this thread and maybe you’ll change your mind. Peace.

I popped 2 packs of herer hash plant and only got 2 out of 20 to pop and survive
I gifted a good friend two packs of black triangle last year and he reported the same thing, only got four to come out of soil they never reached juvenile stage, very disappointing, I will not name the seed bank because, frankly, too many factors to consider, plus they aren’t even in business any more. I suspect improper storage, but who knows. One thing is for sure: I know better than to complain about black triangle and/or bodhi based on a singular bad experience!
