Howdy friends!
So as many of you know I have been around this site for quite a while and have been pretty much a hydro grower when it comes to indoor gardening. Well, it's time once again that I mix things up.
My curiosity has peaked many times about running a "Super Soil" type organic grow and it is time I take a stab at it.
I have chosen to run a product from a local company called Grean Bicycles. They have been around for many years and have a simple system with a good reputation.
Many may have noted that Patrick the owner of Grean Bicycles was working with Subcool on his charge packs before his tragic recent passing :(

On to more positive vibes - I have just picked up the Ocean Bounty and Happy Endings Tea product and have a few more things to gather and to get some clones ready to rock as well as rearrange my garden from hydro to a soil setup.
I will document my adventure here and it is going to be simple products only with no "Voodo" bullshit foo foo juice products.

Here are a few links to the Grean Bicycles company info and also be sure to check out the grow guide they have available. Even if you are an experienced grower it is one of the nicest and most concise reads I have seen for introducing someone to the growing process. :peace:

Time to mix some soil Remember this grow is about low $ easy to find inputs so I am going to make a run at it with what is available at the local Home Depot.
I played around with a few different bags of soil and settled on this mix for my ingredients.
1 4 cu ft Bail Sunshine #4
1 1 cu ft Bag Kellogg Palm, Cactus and Citrus
1 Bag Earth Worm Castings
10lb Grean Bicycles Ocean Bounty

Blended it all well with the "Rake and Roll" method and the texture is very nice.

Time for an update.
Topped all the clones this evening and sent the cuts off to cloning.

Pretty impressed with the health so far for not using a single bottle lol

Will let them veg a bit after the topping and then move them into flower.
I will be putting 4 plants per square fabric pot. These are supposedly 25gal and have a solid 2.5cu ft of soil in each :hump:

How much pain is it to transplant out of those airpots? Can't imagine they slide right out
Following up on your inquiry into the air pots. My first serious run with them and gotta say - Love them!

Tonight marks the first taste of the HPS lighting that the batch of Mendo Breath are receiving. First 12 hour dark cycle hits tomorrow morning. :hump:

Plants last moments in veg..

Potted them up 4 per 25 gallon fabric pot..

I have gone full Barn Yard with straw mulch and all in honor of my boy @Evil-Mobo. He's off doing other things but his spirit lives on here in my grow with my renewed interest in organics.

use zip ties instead of the blue screws. over the years they have made the plastic thinner, & the screws cause it to split over time.
