Bruce Banner Auto

Update 4: May 15 (23 days from sprout)

So I think things are going well so far. First auto grow and shes staying pretty short but filling in very nicely. On the 6th or 7th node now. I'm hoping to get a bit more growth before pistils start showing up so I've started with a bit of LST today. Very gently bc the stalk is very strong.

Also started another bruce banner auto that for now will be sharing the same space but might be sent outside to hopefully not be stolen. We shall see how much room plant #1 takes up.

Update 6: May 25 (33 days from sprout)

More pistils coming from almost every site so going to call it start of flower.

Still quite stumpy. Not sure if this is a ruderalis trait, genetics, or something I've done. Looks healthy and growing everyday, just short.
After growing for a week, today I did another round of lst to open things up.
This plant certainly hasnt needed or liked added nutes showing burned edges even at low doses. With this in mind going to continue with PHed water with a touch of cal mag for another week or so before adding blooming nutes.

Update 7: May 30 (38 from sprout)
Start of flower.

Nicely filling out and starting to gain height. Extra light added today and still watering only phed water with a touch of calmag. Any attempts to even mildly feed have given me burned tips so letting her do her thing until a bit deeper into flower.
First auto and really impressed with the health of this plant. Gorgeous white-ish leaf stems and big 'ol leaves everywhere. Still a bit short but not done her stretch. I have another Bruce Banner Auto going so that will help tell me if the shortness is the strain/ruderlis or just a funny phenome. I'm also breaking the "rules" and topping BBA #2. Call me crazy but I think it's going to be fine / possibly better.

Update 8: June 5
44 days from sprout
Week 1 of flower

I released the tie downs a couple days ago (other than the main stem) to let it gain some height and let the plant do its thing for a bit. Will tie back down next week while still in stretch.

June 7 Mini-update

Plant #1 :leaf: Still looking fantastic! I accidentally dropped something on her yesterday so dont mind the tape job on one of her branches. I had released the lst to encourage a bit more stretching but have tied her back down. She's become so wide and bushy I had to re-assess my plan to have her share my tiny bathroom cubby.

Plant #2 :leaf: Is going outside in the garden! I FIMed her 2 days ago and recovering super well. I'm going to be bringing her in at night in hope that I can keep her out of the hands of thieves. Maybe finish her off inside once big mama is done.

Can you spot the precious cargo? Hopefully the thieves can't!

I MAY be able to pull off 2 plants in my space but I'm think I will have to chill on the lst, let them grow tall then supercrop?

@ApexseasOG Thanks for asking friend! The short version: Shes looking GREAT! Well I think she looks great. It's my first auto. But certainly no complaints so far.

For the longer version:
Update 8: June 11
50 days from sprout
Week 2 flower

Filling in beautifully! Noticing trichomes coming in nice and plentifully. Buds filling and getting bigger every day.

I gave her a boost of mycorrhizae last watering and she seems to be loving it. Still burning when I feed nutes and it really doesnt seem to need it so mostly just letting her do her thing with the black&gold soil but keeping an eye out.

Baby girl outside is growing like CRAZY. She took the FIMing like a woman. No issues. She loves the real sun and threw out her first pistils today (Day 29ish). Keep the positive anti-theft thoughts coming!

A) I prefer queen, hun, or lady to bro :)

B) Loving the strain. And it's at the stage that everyday those buds are bigger. Its blowing me away. I cant believe it's only week 2 of flower. Same site 1 day later.... 2nd pic is the "main" cola. Already stacking :) :leaf:

Damn my bad queen, should've paid more attention to your username lol. She's looking amazing, seems she's gonna be a huge yielder and if potency is anything like I've seen in other similar grows you're going to have a great harvest. Keep us posted!

Update 9: June 14
53 days
Week 2-3 flower

I know it's only been a few days but seeing as it's probably the end of stretch, I did a quick touch up on the tie downs and a mild defoliation this afternoon. Wow did it ever make a difference with opening it up in the middle and uncoving interior budsites!

Before and Afters:

Update 10
June 19
Day 59
Week 3 Flower

Getting bigger and frostier every day. Buds are starting to stack and join all over the plant. Looks like I'll have several big colas come harvest!

Stems have gone a bit purple the past few weeks. I raised the lights a touch but Ph is right around 6.5 and plant looks good otherwise so I'm not concerned but definitely open to opinions.

I never expect this plant to go with breeder suggestion 65-75 days but based on the progress I think 90 may be realistic and fine by me! Loving how quickly autos develop either way.

Update 11: June 26
DAY 66
Week 4 Flower

Buds still swelling and starting to see some brown pistils but nowhere near done. Starting to see some issues with a just few leaves yellowing. Overall plant still looks good tho.
Watered with 10-30-20 nutrients plus cal mag today and set ph a little bit higher at 6.7. The past few waterings Ive broken the "let it chill for an hour to see if ph swings with nutes brewing" rule, so I made sure to give it time to sit and did it right today. Im also not using top shelf nutrients right now but considering getting a decent bloom blend for next watering if I don't see improvement. I havent really had to use them yet so it could be fine. Also raised the lights a bit. Hoping these small adjustments will keep that yellowing at bay till harvest but OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS!

Here's Dolly!

Nice, I have some seeds for this strain being shipped to me right now. Looks like you are gonna have some nice smoke when you are done. Good luck with the grow :)

Update 12: July 3
Day 73
Week 5 Flower

Increasing the ph and decreasing light seems to have stopped the yellowing, or at least it's not gotten any worse. The few fan leaves that are still yellow are not falling off but instead changing colours to show some reds. They're not necrotic and not falling off so I'm almost sure she has enough juice to make it to harvest.
Buds continue to swell and maybe 50% browned pistils at this point. Not looking at trichs yet but they're EVERYWHERE including the backs of bigger leaves :)20200703_101843.jpg20200703_101615.jpg20200703_101546.jpg20200703_101630.jpg

In thinking 2-3 more weeks....
