I reuse mine, at least a few times until the alcohol isn't clear anymore. You don't need much of it either so a gallon should last a long time.

I'm a little confused about your hash turning out hard because the quality looked okay from the photos. It should be considerably softer than the Afghan black hash that used to be available during the 70s and 80s. A temple ball made with bubble hash isn't something you could normally just pick up and carry around in your shirt pocket. It would make a mess, and you'd need to wash your shirt in that expensive ISO if you wanted to ever wear it again.

Well this was first time ever making it,was about an oz of trim/larf that was probably more then 2 yrs old.It was all of what came from the bags including the 25.So as far as quality goes I have no idea.It will release a chuck with your fingernail, tastes like hash from what I can remember. Its been a lot of years since Ive had any.

I ordered some all mesh bags from Amazon wow what a difference. So much easier to work with.
So ran another oz of some left over buds from previous grows. I got the 8 bag set and used them all but the 220 and 190. My 160 was the start. Washed in a 5 gallon machine. I let the ice water soak for over an hour un agitated then just stirred by hand a few times. Nice light coloured hash from the 120’and 90. Second and third washes I let it sit for awhile again hand stirring a little then turning the machine on for approximately 6-9 minutes. These batches yielded the best. Wash 4 was ok but wash 5 it started to get green. Wash 4 t I let the Machine run for 15 minutes.
I think I could run the machine more on wash one to speed up the process. This took me and a buddy quite a long time to run. Tired today. Here’s a pic of our work. The pile in the middle is the 25 bag.
Yes I have a black dog lol, will remove the little hairs

This reminds me of something that happened to me. I was digging into a temple ball for a nice hit once when I saw the end of a black hair poking out after I pinched off a piece. Well I couldn't let that stay in there, like WTF, so I kept digging. The hair turned out to be over 6" long. I have a black-haired wife. No idea how one of her hairs got in there, but there it was. Wife contamination! lol

It is a lot of work to make hash. I'm always tired at the EOD, but in a satisfied good way. But once you get to know the strains you're working with, you can make it easier by using only the bags that you need, especially when you can predict you're going to mix them together anyway. For most strains I only use 2 bags for actually catching trichomes, along with a catch bag. Fewer bags ease the collecting and washing burden considerably.

Nice haul! Can I ask what kind of bag that is? I have the full mesh bags from Amazon, but the very thin colored seam is only on the outside edge, and while folded over the bucket it's easy to mix them up because you can't see it. I went as far as marking the mesh size on the outside of the cut-off buckets themselves for that reason so I wouldn't accidently put them in the wrong order.
Sorry about not responding, these were inexpensive line , have been heavily used, so now need replacing.7B9F119E-5C98-4E3B-8AE0-2C1FA5B7F17A.jpeg

Me too, this last run was 190 catch bag followed by a 73 then final bag was 45. I did run all waste water through a 25 for food grade

Those actually look pretty damn good to me. Unless they have holes in them, you can send them to me and I'll umm... err hmm... dispose of them free of charge. I'll even pay you the 5 cent carbon refund for your effort by EMT or certified check. lol

Can I ask where you got them? Pretty please?

Gearing up for another run, have about 10oz of frozen trim/popcorn.High of around 2c today so shouldn't need much ice.
Anything different with frozen? Just drop it in the machine with ice water and let it un thaw ?
Will prob use 3-4 bags 190-90-73-45 something like that.

Happy new year!
