Bud turning black while drying?

i hung a bud in a shoe box in my closet to dry and in about 2-3 days it has started to turn black. Not sure why this is, but I'm concerned it may be mold. Though i have read that this can be caused be deteriorating choloraphyl, which would make sense because it was trimmed fresh. Has anyone else ran into this? What do y'all think?

Looks like that's the side that was touching the shoe box ....meaning the moisture couldn't escape ......you always want good air flow around your wet buds ...especially larger wet buds ......next time set them on a paper grocery bag or a piece of screen and don't be afraid to turn them .......but better yet leave them on a stem if you can and hang them upside down ......that's caused by to much moisture not being able to evaporate .....same thing can happen if you don't burp and wick moisture out of curing weed

Doesn't have any moldy smell, I improved the air flow a lot and it has seemed to stop turning black. Is it safe to smoke or should I not take the risk?

It was actually hanging on string by the stem and the black is all around the whole thing. But I didn't hav a fan or air circulating for the first day or two. Is it mold? Is it safe to smoke?

Does it have a funny smell and is it falling apart.......take a nugg and do one more heavy trim and post another pic if you can

If it falls apart its mold. If your bud feels powdery and not sticky icky, its mold. Whats up with all the white hairs? Was that bud part of a larger bud that got moldy and you picked off the rest?
