BuKu T.H. Seeds Review

Alright, so I have just finished growing what has to be my favorite strain. Its the Burmese Kush offered by T.H. Seeds. I chose this at semi-random from the tude and didn't really look up any reviews it just seemed to have the characteristics I was looking for. I have since found many grows, some on this site that have had problems with hermaphrodites with the feminized Buku, I don't know if this was problem they had early on and fixed, or if I just got lucky as hell but the ten pack I purchased all sprouted and grew into healthy ladies with no male flowers. These plants grew vigorously and looked healthy, heavy feeders, taking 1500 ppm no problem. I got a mix of several different phenotypes. All were nice plants but bud development did differ as well as flowering times. With the heaviest plants taking around 8 days longer than some of the lighter yeilding plants. At 55 days of flowering for the quicker rippening pheno its real fast and packs on weight quickly in the final weeks. The later pheno took 63 days but were monsterous plants with forearm sized colas. The final harvest was 23 oz dried or a little over 2 oz per plant. This was under a aircooled 1000w on a 4x4 hydroponic table, rockwool, GH, Lucus formula. This gave me a G.E. of 1.01 best I have ever done. G.E. is Garden Efficiency and you can find the formula online, it is a great way to compare how well you are doing and I love that it lets me compare crop to crop to see what is working best. I know people have had problems, but I with the yeild of prime cristal covered buds I got it is making an extended appearance in the garden.

They have a really thick stalk and bigass leaves.

How tall were yours on the flip?

I have read that BuKu's hermie when stressed from topping the plant. Did you do any topping?

Nope, I try not to top anything.

A little over 1 foot they ended at about 2 1/2 or 3 not extrememly tall, didn't have stretch issues, And to the person that asked about topping, I have topped and cloned the shit out of the plants I have flowering right now, and still no hermies.

Mu Buku grew really well in a DWC bubbleponics system. However at like week 5 or 6 of flower my Buku buds got so big they snapped branches and I lost mucho bud, however it smells like a kush, not impressed by the flavor though.

Same here I topped mine and no hermies. As a matter of fact I have never gotten a hermie with a female seed. Check for light leaks ?

I'm growing a TH Seeds BuKu outdoors right now, and it's about 5 feet tall, still vegging, and smells DANK already...I hope my neighbors are ready for this...

i had 2 out of 3 herm out. unfortunately didnt catch in time and it fucked up my crop. good luck.

yah, i've always head that their is like one good pheno of buku, and chances of finding it, well, you know how that goes.. and the rest of them, i've heard are terrible, even more on the hemp side of things bad...
nice to hear some positive review on it as i have some of the beans, but i hear the worse reviews on it..

kiefcake, how about so me pics?! I have one in veg right now (tude freebie june promo), fat leaves, chunky stem, and its only like 5" tall so far! Seems very vigorous, hopefully I have an ok pheno.

edit: since this was in the 'tude promo I was hoping to see more grows with this by now, maybe all the hermie talk scared people away. I bet everyone's running the sour cream and connie chung and SAGE instead heh. Sad note: my dinafem blue hash freebie went tits up directly after breaking the surface of the rapid rooter. welp.

i just chopped a darktstar, not really impressed.

i have a sage growing, and Im really impressed! golf ball lower popcorns just covered in pink lemony smelling buds. 2 more weeks im guessing.

i have one more darkstar that im letting go late, buds keep getting bigger but not increasing resin at all. ill have a smoke test in a couple weeks though...



*edit* i should also add, last year i grew a buku i got as a clone from a club. i did top it at least once, i rem. it being a beautifal dark green tree with trich covered baby buds, but then it grew nuts on the main stem, and i didnt keep it around.

I just harvested two different pheno's of the BUKU and its great smoke!!!! Has a good kushy taste and high. Both pheno's high's were equally as good, one yielded more than the other but the lesser yielding one has a sweeter smell, kinda zesty! All in all im keeping this in my garden for a long time to come! Here's a few pics of the dried buds!
