My boy got busted in his off college apartment growing 10 plants (fucking fire Marshall). They just were in the first two days of flower ang he came home to empty pots. After talking w police bc he's a college student and he said it was personal use they agreed to make him a ci and all he'd have to do was bust some townie dealers. He did 5 trips but after 6months the cop said he wasn't getting enough weight off the pplb so he was charged with his sentence. 10k bail for 10lbs of pot, reasonable said the da bc of felony ammont. WTF he was like I wished I got 10lbs, bullshit cops must just weigh the whole plant not the buds which were non existant

Nah guy how they do it is an estimation of 2 pounds per plant which they consider average yeild. Shows how the cops don't know shit.

Another thing is never grow in college housing they do those inspections every couple of months.

how many of his buddies did he roll on, did he do any sexual favors for the cops or just straight informant stuff?

Its only supposed to be a misdemeanor to grow marijuana. Did he have any weed in his house? Possession along with growing is a felony.

yea I told him not to grow there ESP in the basement next to the oil burner. He flipped 3 houses to the cops. No one he knew just townies who sell bud under the door( don't want to sound racist but some black gangsters). Being it's an upstate college he knew the spots where to scored ,he was even wired. Cop put his life in danger multiple times and got some busts yet still fucking took him in 6months later.

I'm just pissed that after 6 months of complying with the cops and giving them usable info that led to busts that they are still prosecuting this 20yr old kid. It's not like he's snitching on some legit grow op just a bunch of gangbangers who make pot a criminal act, ie kids that rob and tote pistols to sell a dub.
