Burping the Bud Jars and show my veg update

Took my jars (with Boveda packs) from my indoor grow out of cool storage to burp them and refill my on-hand baby food jars. Bubblegum, Jamaica Airee, Blue Mistic, Short Rider, and Sour Diesel. Also, here some pics of the veg tent. It looks crowded, but it's very economical. When they are ready for flower, I'll disperse 3/4 of these girls into other tents. This way, I don't have to run 4 600w mh bulbs...instead, I run one! A couple of new strains to test this year. In the veg tent are: Bubblegum, Bubblegum x Airee, Jamaica Airee, K.A.S.I., Purple Train Wreck, White Grapefruit, and Blue Cheese. PLEASE COMMENT! Peace

Looks good birddog.....

Question: those boveda packs.....I get them at the local cigar shop when I buy cigars.....what do you do with them ? Put one in per jar or something ? And, if so, how long do you leave them in the for ?

From my experience with cigars they will last several months in one of those plastic ziplock bags they put your cigars in.

Personally I don't use Boveda packs but they will work.

They were developed for cigars to be used for small or travel humidors.

I use a coolador, which is merely a food cooler that you maintain the humidty at your desired level.

So if you let your jar stable at 62% (or whatever your preference) and then maintain the coolador to the same humidity, then the jar contents will remain stable....so as a result you need only worry about one environment to maintain a stable level

You are correct, but the 62% RH Boveda packs are very convenient. No extra space requirement (except in the jar), don't even have to open the pack, and no dials to worry about. My friend has a humidor cooler and after seeing what the little packs do for me, she has switched. Works great for me and I recommend them. Peace

How long do you leave the packs in the jars for ? When the packs dry up do you replace them ? Or is the weed cured fine by then ?

Hey there SC...good questions! I put one pack per jar and then they go into my cool storage (not required). They last thru an entire season, unless you are constantly opening the jar to re-fill your on-hand stash like me (lol). When the pack gets hard, its done. My bud always tastes as sweet as when it was stored. Peace

Burped some of the outdoor girls tonight and they all look and smell delicious! Also, an update on the 12 girls I have going to see who makes the cut. Did some fiming and a good foil spraying. Gave some secret nutes at the end. Peace

Do you see a problem that I am unaware of SC?
No, I just haven't heard of using this rooting hormone stuff to start beans....I actually just had some problems with some seeds I hatched...I was wondering how good that stuff is ? Do you notice a significant increase in growth with that stuff ?

Hey dude! Yes, I've been using this method for some time now. When you sprinkle some TakeRoot (or similar) straight into the bean hole the day before the sprouted bean goes in, then soak the pod with ph'd water, your bean can go straight into the hole the next day. I have almost 100% seedlings with this method and they are healthy! No noticeable increase in growth...just steady and healthy plants!

That looks fantastic mate. Could I ask what were the yields from each strain, height ect.?
Hey nark...thanks for writing and the compliment. My indoor girls are all in tents, so I do let them veg very long (couple weeks). The tallest mine get is around 4 ft. and weigh between 12 oz. and a pound. Here's a couple pics from some of the girls on last years indoor harvest. Some of the picture names list the weights. My outdoor girls are a completely different story getting as tall as 10 ft. Peace

Here is an update picture of the veg tent that was started May 22nd (two weeks in the tent today). They were fimed 2 days ago and the new sites are already healthy, as you can see in the detail pic. I ended up setting another tent up for the sprouts to get a home, as they were already at the top of my portable propagator. I'll get pics of those later. So far, it looks like all girls in the veg tent (lol). Looks like we might be getting close to flower time here shortly. Bubblegum, Bubblegum x Airee, Jamaica Airee, K.A.S.I., Purple Train Wreck, White Grapefruit, and Blue Cheese. PLEASE COMMENT! Peace
