this requires some research. however, there were only big fish in a little pond in the beginning. lot's of little ponds. centralization connected the ponds with tentacles of exclusive streams available only to certain people.

Lets just say that the people who control things locally are the same ones that either go to congress or send their sons and daughters. The guy who owns the chevy dealership, a real wheel in a small community that probably got there by fucking over his neighbors, gets elected to some office state or county and worms his way up. There are no working class heroes in that group with the exception of a few like Kucinich, and all the power guys bag on him. It's been that way ever since I can remember. The kids in High school that had rich parents and got all the breaks, always were the most successful, there is the rare exception, but not the norm. In this country and probably most, you get the best government that money can buy and guys like Kucinich and your guy Ron Paul dont have a chinamans chance.

Amen! Ain't that the truth. Even the asshole media dudes in the last debate wouldn't ask Kucinich a decent question, even after he brought up impeachment a few times. Instead they ask him about a UFO he saw 20 years ago or so. If thats not spittin in his face...I don't know what is.

Yes you are both right. But why would Kucinich say he saw an UFO, that's like slitting your own wrist. Even if he did see one(which I'm sure he believes he did) why tell ppl? You're running for president, for God's sake, man. He is one the better candidates, imo, but he committed career suicide with that one.

Probably, but that is the mentality of the electorate. I've seen a few in the desert skies in AZ. during my hiatus in the early 70s. Un-identified, means just that. I couldn't identify it. IE it wasn't a plane, a balloon, ball lightning, or any other man made object as far as I could see. You notice they set him up for failure, in other words, get the fuck out of here.

He didn't. He is related to that kook actress Shirley McClain, and she wrote it in her book that he told her tears ago about seeing it. He may not of even been in politics when he told her.

I think it would of been suicide if he would of lied and said he never told her that. He explained that he saw " an Unidentified flying object". That doesn't mean he subscribes to the groups that claim to be abducted by aliens, or have chips implanted in their ankles.

He took it like a man...and made a joke of it. BUt why did Russert and [SIZE=-1]Williams ask him that...instead of something important. Just plain old bullshit media coverage.

Yes definitely, they were trying to sabotage with that line of questioning. I even think it is admirable that he stuck to his guns and told the truth, even though it ran the risk of making him unpopular. But, if I were him, I would have lied. People don't want to hear the truth anyways, they want the politician to tell them what they want to hear... Politician tells people what they want to hear, not what he really thinks. It gets him elected and then he does whatever he wants. This is a tried and true method that has been proven to work over and over again.

when the rep debates first started i was in shock that Ron Paul wasn't asked one question about taxes or health care or monetary policy (all things that he has a very deep understanding of) while the greatly less informed stooges of mass media were spouting off answers that were nothing but a thin veneer over their chasm of ignorance. they would go to Ron Paul with things like, "you want to end the Department of Homeland Security, close down the CIA, the FBI and many other government programs that protect us...."

when life gives you lemons... Kucinich didn't turn the UFO thing into a blunder while Hillary certainly turned the ID for illegal criminals into a massive blunder.

I believe the media whores know what Ron Paul is about. What Ron Paul is about, is puncturing sacred cows. If RP was given a public platform on national TV to discuss the money issue and abolishing the IRS and the Federal Reserve the socialist apple cart would be upended. Ron Paul is a brilliant man ... simple, but brilliant. I've read a couple of his books on the money issue, and the guy has a way of explaining a very complex issue in very simple terms. I mean, the average American can understand Ron Paul. It's been said before ... "If the average American understood what has been done with his/her money, we would have a revolution by morning."

I understand, and I am ready for a revolution, but I'd look plenty silly marching down to city hall by myself with my firearms, in fact that would be the shortest march in history as soon as the first cop spotted me. Divide and conquer

they must all march at once. so they must all be told at once...i'm on it....:joint:

i can hear the story: "today, a one man march on washington ended with the armed, bearded man guned down. now for sports..."

Yeah i guess when I think about it like that, it's not such a big deal. Hilary's ID cards for illegal immigrants was a much larger blunder. And she's still doing good in the polls:?

The MSM has chosen the candidates that are "Credible" and shun the rest. This was obvious when the first round of questions were ask of everyone except Kucinich. Dennis raised his hand and shouted hello, hello, and they still ignored him and moved on to the next questions. It amazes me that they have let Rudy slip behind, he may have hurt himself with his affiliation with Bernard Kerik. Just goes to show what crooks the right are behind.
