Calcium nitrate and why you NEED it.

"50 lbs here, 50 lbs there. Pretty soon you're talking about real weight." (parody of Everett Dirksen, US Senator 1950s-'60s.).
well i just want the recipe for turning it into a liquid since there was nothing on the first 3 pages of google, besides for concrete purposes. Im not a mason so it was all gibberish to me

I can hear Church now: "A Coke? That's just carbonated water with some sugar! You could buy 50 pounds of Co2 and make your own carbonated water. If you don't understand this, you deserve to be fleeced!"
That was fucking hilarious!

As if the plants would know the difference between coke and RC cola.

The way you turn limestone into a liquid? lol. I already told you, limestone is not soluble in water. You could melt it.... that would turn it into a liquid.... I don't think that's the type of liquid you're looking for though...

If you dissolve limestone in nitric acid, you'll get calcium nitrate, in aqueous form. Does that count?

melting point is 1500+ degrees. No way this is gonna be cheaper lmao

Church I really try to avoid topics that I am not up to speed on, maybe you should too....
If you insist on having a "liquid" form, there's always calcium nitrate mixed with a bunch of water.
too much nitrate content is not good for bacteria growth. I limit it as much as possible, same with EDTA trace minerals.

You're not really doing a good job considering you've been posting so much in this topic you know so little about.

Bacteria are forbidden from my medium unless it's soil. EDTA is a very useful for keeping iron in stock solutions. Good stuff.

You don't have a choice if you're looking for a water soluble form of calcium. That's my point. If you want it to work in DWC, it needs to be calcium nitrate, or it's not going to be available.

In hydroponic formulations, calcium levels are strongly correlated to nitrate levels because calcium nitrate is used to provide the majority of both. The correlation is empirical.

I also don't like to force feed nitrogen at the middle-end of flowering

Well I have to keep reiterating the same things. Once again you need to specify the exact hydroponics set ups when starting threads like this. There are sterile and non-sterile hydroponic set ups. Your info is good for sterile mine is for both. Have i once said that what you do doesn't work?

Okay, now I'm specifying. I mean Sterile, inorganic hydroponics.

That was implied by "water soluble form". Calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, and calcium sulfate are not water soluble!!!

Organic hydroponic systems are bullshit imo.

well your opinion is bs and based on what exactly? I have a 1800w tent that is just for experimental grows what are you studying hands on atm?
