@bernie344 you’re plants look like they are exhibiting salt toxicity.

Probably compounded by the small pot size, less wiggle room for your coco cation exchange to happen.

See how your leaves are changing weird colours and getting crispy. That’s a classic example of toxic salt build up.

The reason you’re feeding 3x a day etc is because your roots are burning through the moisture in the coco too quickly but EC is too high and thus the coco compensated by holding onto Ca and delivering back K to the point that it’s toxic.

I’m feeding 3L on 7G pot once a day everyday and i get like 25-30% runoff, 4 weeks vegg, and they look like this first week of flip 12/12 and they look like this

np and I was confused I assumed you can only convert 1ec based on the scale so 1 ec can also equal 700 or 1 ec can equal 500, gets confusing reading other people's meter readings sometimes

That burning was 5 weeks ago during heatwave 34C then 37C then the third day 43C, nut burn because the plants drank extra amounts of water and left a high ec in the pot, I didnt catch it in time, I was running a 2.1 ec at the time, if I cant control my room temps then dont run high ec... Lesson learned.
Current ec is 1.3

Exactly. I’ve only ever used EC personally but I can often convert for ppm without a table as I know most outside of the U.K. use ppm.

one major thing I always ask when giving advice for strength is what ppm conversion are you using lol.

yea thats a 1/3 difference lol some people don't realize it adds up quickly

You should ask what happened before giving your insight on what happened even though you did not witness it.

Doesn’t stop it being true it was caused by your high temps!

it’s not my fault your plants are exhibiting this issue it would be yours for not controlling your area appropriately but the statement I made is true regardless of how you got there.

Yeah but if i keep low EC will the plant grow slower? or will it yield less? coz i’ve seen some guides that go up to 2.2 EC

no the plant eats what it wants when it needs nutrients, there is balance and no strains eating habits are similar, but there are many trends. underfeeding can definitely slow things down but how low is dependent on the strain , some girls hog all the munchies others eat like a bird hardly at all

Birds eat 1/2 their body weight daily so the analogy is a bit off - but I get what u mean :blsmoke:

My nutrient guide goes up to 2.2 doesn’t mean I should go there.

it’s all dependant on the plant size, pot size, environmen.

If you’ve got monsters they’re obviously going to need higher nutrient strength.

Pushing high nutrient strength through plants that can’t take it results in Burning or toxicity.
