Wasn't sure where to put this, but I figure my fellow Canadians would like to see some closeup shots of what the LPs are selling. As I'll repeat a couple of times below, I really liked the effect of this stuff.

I have been playing around with a generic amazon USB microscope to look at the buds on my first grow. Today I thought: You know, I should look at that Blue Dream, purchased from the BCCS online near the end of November. It was packaged Oct 14, so did not sit on a shelf too long. But it was popcorn nugs and trim.

Thing is, I really liked the smoke. My brain felt comfortably numb. Here's the label info:

So this post isn't about bashing an LP, as I say, I liked the effect of this 17.1% weed.

Still, I wanted to see how "ripe" the LP let this get. The answer is...not very. Even though many heads seem to have been knocked off, there is basically 2% amber, and quite a lot of clear trichomes.

So now I'm confused. A sativa dominant, with prematurely harvested bud had virtually a couchlock effect on me. WTH? Anyway, I have Blue Dream seeds on the way for my next grow.

Here's the pics of LP trichomes.

Yeah it pisses me off we don’t have any stores yet. And when we do I think there’s something like 25 of them coming ? So there’s no chance my small town will get one lol

I’m just starting the amount of information is overwhelming!! How do you deal with the overwhelming flood of information?
Try to take it smaller bites. If you're just starting off read up about ways to veg and train your plants. As you transition to flowering study up more about that. Go into specific forums and find threads pertaining to your area of interest at that time. I recently got a book, Stock Investing for Canadians for Dummies, that I'm having a hard time with never being interested in finance or keeping track of my money. If I studied it the way I have studied growing pot for decades I should do pretty good at it but it doesn't hold my interest the way pot does. Not to mention that at 64 years of age I don't have decades to learn this stuff and actually make any money off it. :D

Lots of good info in the following link. Try not to drown in information. ;)

I found a great spot to download FREE POT BOOKS. I downloaded a grow bible first and got lots more. Books look great and complete like the real ones I have here. No web site but just a page of links. Just right click on what you want and then "Save Link As" to download so they don't open first as some are 50+ megs. They got lots. Enjoy.

Just had the two in flower, the other one is in week 7 and looks fine. This one only had a couple bananas, I’m going to try and pick em of and keep checking every day.
This late in flowering even if a 'nanner gives off some pollen you'll be harvesting the plants before seeds have time to form. May be tiny seeds starting in some of the flowers but won't be big enough to blow up in your face if rolled into a joint. I sure don't miss that. lol

If you find any mature seeds in your buds then 'nanners started a while back and you didn't see them as it takes 5 - 6 weeks for seeds to mature. About half of the seeds grown from early 'nanners will go hermie too so it's a crap shoot growing them out. When I breed for seeds I discard any seeds that I get off plants that go hermie just so I don't get more.
