Canadian input please

I am looking to get some input from people as to which areas of canada would be good to move to. I am a husband and father of two boys and I am tired of worrying about what might happen to my family if my small medicinal grow where ever found. I have seriously been researching immigrating to canada in probably the BC area but i was hoping to get some input to narrow down my search area more. I'm wanting to get some acreage in a rural area but also no more that an hour from quality schools as my boys are my number one priority. Anyone know any cities that would be ideal for my situation? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

Move to Victoria BC - It's absolutely beautiful there.
If you don't mind the snow, I also recommend either London Ontario or Waterloo Ontario.

As for BC though, I haven't been to many places there, asking a Canadian about BC, is like asking an American how it is in any of it's states so it's kinda hard at times, we're a big land with not too many people in it.

I highly recommend Victoria or its greater surrounding areas.

also, NEVER move to Windsor Ontario, I'm sure you weren't but I felt a pang in my heart, and it would have stayed there if I didn't warn you. Only downfall awaits you in that dark abysmal hole of twisted madness. I won't get into it.

It depends on how you like weather/snow. I would definetly recommend bc if your going to move to canada. However if your looking for a place to grow uninterrupted canada may not be the place after harper's new bill passes. They are putting mandatory minimum sentencing in for growing/trafficking.

However pot has a huge place in the bc economy, many bussinesses and mills are closing so theres lots of people turning to large grows, which is the only thing the r.c.mp. are going to focus on. As for cities in bc, there are many quiet small towns that are absoloutely beautiful. Some of my favourites are revelstoke, golden, kamloops, radium, vancouver, fraser, and victoria.

Thank you both very much for replying, I like to get as many points of view as i can. As for that bill that will require mandatory sentences, I have only heard a few things about that so i will definitely look into it. Hopefully it doesn't pass. I don't mind the cold at all and was really starting to look at canada as a place where my family could live safely and without persecution. I guess im just tired of assholes and greedy corporations.

I live in Edmonton (Alberta) and it's pretty awesome here.
Good city, lots of nice schools, and generally pretty low population compared to some other cities. (about 1m people here)

One thing that sucks... winter is starting.. and they are COLD, snowy, and looooong.

other than that, its all good.
