Cannabutter Mess! Please help.

Hello,

This is my third time making cannabutter. Mind you, I was making it to make edibles for today! Happy 4/20 yall!
  • I used 2 1/2 sticks of butter
  • half cup of water
  • went through it twice
Ok back to the BS. I used my magic stove top cannabutter. ( I decarbed it on 225 for 30 mins) to make it. I went through it twice to try and make it more potent. I was rushing a bit so I tried something new, I put it in the freezer. I checked back in an hour and it wasn't solidified. I left it in for 5 more hours and nothing happened. I put it in the fridge for the remainder of the night. I woke up this morning and it still hasn't solidified. It was kinda a liquid, cake batter feel to it. Since I left it in a metal tray, I tried 45 minutes ago, moving it to my glass measuring cup to see if that helps.

Is my cannabutter done for? Is there any other ways to solidify it faster? Thank you.

What do you mean when you say "I went through it twice"? All you need to do is put the butter in a pot, with a little bit of water (just enough to keep the butter off the bottom of the pot), let it simmer for a few hours, pour it through a strainer into another pot, and then just stick it in the fridge until it solidifies. If yours hasn't solidified then I can't even begin to think of what happened.

Secondly, I used my herbal chef butter maker. On the instructions, it said that I can run through the process again but pouring the liquid back into the maker and infuse it for 10 more minutes.

i didn't post on here to go back and forth with someone. So, I'll wait for another member to actually be useful to me.

For anyone else that actually wants to help, I've attached a pictureIMG-6510.jpg.

I'm not going back and forth with you. I'm telling you you overpaid for a $15 coffee maker that has been rebranded to sell as a butter maker. I literally spelled out instructions of how to make cannabutter in my first reply to you. If you aren't a troll then you have serious issues following instructions. Google is full of cannabutter recipes so I don't buy the whole "i cant find the answer im looking for on google" excuse.

Jesus christ. Is it done for? Is there a way to help it?

What were your plans for the butter had it came out solid ?
I don't believe you can reverse the emulsion, you may just have to use in a liquid form, add to coffee, tea, milk :spew: , ect

I was planning on making brownies, cookies, and cheesecake bites. Would it hurt to still mix in the batter?
Have you heard of adding vinegar or lemon juice to try and reverse it? Someone mentioned that on reddit.
There's not a lot of info on the internet about emulsion. :(

I don't want your two cents. Your being condescending to me when I'm actually going through a situation. Obviously ignoring you isn't enough. i'll make it clear for you. Exit my post. I don't want any help from you at all. You've been rude from the start and I don't need any nonsense from you.
You're posting in a public forum, and my first response to your question wasn't condescending at all. You just got all bent out of shape when I said I thought you may be a troll. It's not my fault you don't know how to search on Google, but I thought I would at least be helpul by posting that link. If you don't want to read it then that is your problem. BTW, the way you've been replying to me is pretty classic troll behavior.

My guess is that they will not come out well, too much liquid.
I suggest you use it in a liquid recipe, a Pasta sauce, soup, gravy maybe.

I have not heard of, or have any experience here.

Good Luck

I found this in 15 seconds through Google http://www.webexhibits.org/butter/churning.html
:P

Your obsessed with trying to find a troll instead of helping someone out. If it were that easy to find the answer, i'm sure you would of told me the answer. But instead your going back and forth (troll behavior) with me online. Grow up dude. I don't have time for the nonsense.

Oh and I looked at the link and found 0 answers. Why don't you find another post to harass someone. I'm not replying to you anymore, so good luck to typing to yourself.
