I have 4 plants in my closet. i topped one plant because it older then the rest and i wanted to tops to be the same highth and the other . with a 400 watt hps. with a fan on the ground blowing in. I checked the ph with one of those cheep 7 dollor meters that you stick into the soil it a lil high 7.5 to 8 but i ph down the water to 6.0 when i water the plants. the fan leaves mostly on top of the plants started pointing upward like there streching for light. and the leaves are canoeing like a taco. so should i be worried or not. oh can spider mites cause this, i found one on the leave the other day .Iam useing mg mousture control soil and perlite mixed. its in the 2 week of flowering and the temps are 70 to 80 degres when light on and 60 to 65 at night let me know what you think of my set up good or bad?

the leafs dont look bad at all, if you are scared it is still happening then i would raise the light a bit heat stress can cause the tops to taco up. your setup looks good and plants look healthy, i would take care of the mites now though before you get to far into flower

well i always used neem oil and lady bugs, they are both pretty cheap, neem will work by it self as well, i would not use the neem once your plants are 3 weeks or more into flower, then it could start to effect taste

when harvesting the smell isnt like that dank smell it has a grass or hay smell to it but when you open the bud it smell a lil sweeter inside i put the buds in the jar when there a lil wet after 4 days of hang drying chop them up jar them some of the buds are really hard to touch some are soft how do you get that good smelling weed.

Hey Smokey,

I know its been a while since you asked the question, but the reason your bud smells like hay is because you jarred it too early. Always leave it hanging to air dry until the outside seems real crispy, there is still moisture down inside! Then put it into containers and leave them open a couple hours a day until its nice and dry. Then keep them mostly sealed, open for a few minutes periodically, and you will be at prime stinkyness after two to three weeks. Even a few day cure, *on properly dried bud*, will improve the smell and taste noticeably.

Cheers
