Oh Rotted...they look so pretty ;) If there is deer around that's a good thing....means no people..lol!

No seriously.....your going to have some fantastic yields, I just guts that feeling ;) All of your hard work is paying off for you Rotted, and thank you for the encouragement on my outdoor next season. I am most def. going to do it...and I'm already planning (doing research) so I should have quite the wealth of knowledge. I brought my compost bin up and have been using it since spring. Do you think it will be ready for next season so I can fill my holes with goodness?

You know I LOVE when you share your ladies on my thread....you must be so proud! I would be....I mean come on, look at those ladies soaking up the sun.

I 'd have to put up some kind of netting too....and I can't grow anything too sweet cuz the mommy bear and her twin cubs are roaming my woods this year. Do moose eat weed? Cuz if they do I'm screwed. I'll have to put up and electric fence around my gals...lol.

I can't help but wonder how that mystery patch is doing that you found on your land....lol.

After one more look at your lovely ladies.....they sure are giant and from what I've seen, you will pull a qp per EASILY!

Be safe Rotted, and keep up the GREAT gardening! I'm super psyched to see your progress on these girls :)

Rooted my man the gifts will come, looking at them im with catt you are going to get a good qp each at the least, yes the netting idea will work, also open them up a bit will help with getting more light in there "outdoor lst", not much just enough to open them, and not break them.

I came home after 8 days excited as a kid, I opened my cabinet and..... The buds have what seemed to gotten how shall I say "Blew the f@#k up" man these things have super sugared up, and have gotten so heavy at just 5 1/2 weeks they where hanging over with girth, I had to steak them up, and one thing thats amazing on one of my buds is something I've seen onve before is there is so much resin on one part it looks as if its oozing, I touched to see and its gooey I smelled my finger and it smelled like straight mandarin, I will get a pick as soon as I can for you.

Catt do you have any pics of the babies comimg soon?

Ha Ha Chief!! It's hard to appreciate what your plants are doing because for the most part we see them everyday. EIGHT days is a long time and you must have been jacked when you got home. I just love your descriptions as well. I can just imagine the buddage "oozing" with sweet Mandarin flavored/scented goodness. Is it wrong that I find that somehow sexually arousing? Certainly not as much as a piece of gorilla tail but all the same. I mean how do you beat gorilla tail? I pulled out some old pics from the 80's and I feel much better about my tree pots. I don't think a QP each but if I keep them well watered and nuted then I should be OK. My biggest concern right now is them becoming rootbound but I have found lots of water does wonders. If I do end up with a respectable yield I will give the buckets another shot next year. So much easier than digging holes here!!!!:D:D
:leaf:
Catt.. If you do try to pull off an outdoor grow next year you are gonna be amazed at how little work it is compared to indoor growing. That flood plain soil you speak of should give you true monsters. Outdoors there are other concerns of course but no need to worry about losing power and in good soil even Nutes are a bonus rather than a requirement. They just grow and grow and grow. Moose may be a problem but you could always try for a moose permit and eat him. That will slow him down better than a fence. I have never had to worry about bears so your on your own there. The toughest part about outdoor growing is the little pests and I am going to have to deal with some kind of leaf miner I think. I can usually just ignore most insect troubles and I don't care much if they eat a little bit. It's so easy to get excited about a few munched on or yellowing leaves but it ain't no big thang. If I'm gonna worry about anything it will be when the buds are fat and plump and a case of mold moves in.:sad:
:leaf:
It's funny you asked about about the grow on my property. The "owner" HAS been visiting them! It looks like he/she has spotted a few males and pulled them. There was also a BIG ring of granulated fertilizer around the bases. There are seven or eight left and they are about 3ft tall but lanky. It's possible that this guy/gal's plants will reach maturity growing on MY property. I should have stomped them months ago!! It does place me in a quandary of some sort don't yah think. My utopian goal is to let the guy harvest but there is an old saying that " A stiff organ has no conscious " so we will see......:wall::?::shock:
:leaf:
Thanks Owl for lightening my load. I was worried but the more I look at them the better off I think I will be. It would be wicked pissa to have 8 or 9 different kinds of weed all at the same time. I tended a few of my in the ground plants today and though they have suffered thru the summer from hell I could possibly score sumpin out of them.:D:D
:leaf:
Bumps.. You be careful about having any sort of sex with an ape. Take a look at their teeth and think long and hard about it. I understand that other than us they are the only critter that has sex for the fun of it. I'm just saying be careful and be safe.:shock:
:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:
Always so long winded but not saying anything. Catt.. I need pics. I hope all is going well in your closet. Have you decided what your gonna do for certain on your next grow? So many seed choices.:D

Good morning Peeps :) It's a crisp beautiful morning here in the moutainesque forests of the North. I just finished up my wake n' bake spliff of some excellent "unknown" green. I really wish I could tell ya what it is....but noone ever knows when you buy grass up here what it is. I've learned so much this past year that the dealers can't fool ME anymore....lol. I know my bag is fresh, with nice large dense ladybuds like Christmas trees. I will never buy a bag of someones popcorn nuggs again...HAHA!!

WoW...I'm pretty zooted  :bigjoint: anywho.....the baby is doing GREAT! She is 7 days old and is still nice and green workin on her 3rd set of leaves. Not too much stretch yet, but her leaves are sure getting bigger :) Her she-Daddy didn't stretch much either so I'm not worried. She is a "Shorty" afterall. I love how the leaves get that white haze to them before they take off...amost like it's a poisionous plant. Shorty's coteys are looking OK, they haven't fallen off or gotten worse and still just the tips are brown. She's gonna be SUPER short I betcha.

I have her in her final pot, I think it fit's about 1/2 litres of dirt. Since this is a 12/12 from seed, I'm hoping the roots won't need much more than that. Still using up my Fafard 1-PV growing mix....it's a local favorite :) details: Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss (80%), perlite, vermiculite, starter nutrients, wetting agent & Dolomitic limestone. pH range: 5.5 to 6.5 after wetting.

Just gave a dop of superthrive in 250ml of my well water when I transplanted. I will be using my well water as a test for this grow. The mountain spring I usually get my garden water from is a little dried up at the moment. I will be feeding her a teeny tiny bit of Seaweed at the next watering. Should I use veg food until I see pistils (hopefully) then switch to flowering?
Right now she is under 1 26w 6500k and tonite I will be messing around and adding some light. This I am still a little confused about.....should she have mostly 2700k's on her or 6500k's? I like the 3:1 ratio for spectrum but I'm just unsure on which way it should go since this is my first 12/12 from sprout. I'm thinking 3:1 2700k's, so if anyone has any input I'd appreciate it :)

Hey Rotted....I would love to get a few of those extensions you love. Where did you get them so I can grab a few? I feel they would fit nicely with the way I grow and I'd be able to have some bulbs going horizontal.

Latest pics :) 7 Days old......keeping my fingers crossed that it's a "she".

IMAG0001.JPGIMAG0005.JPGIMAG0009.jpg My other 2 beans did not germinate in their peat pods :( So I dug the babies up and put them in a coffee cup of water...lol. Gonna try again...HAHA!

I can't decide....once I checked out what Attitude has to over I felt so overwhelmed  I want Maui Wowie so far (Nirvana).....but oh man would I love to see some purple in my closet. Maybe I'll go with 5 different kinds??? Besides....my canopy never really is the most EVEN in flowering anyways so WTH right? The only thing I'm sure of is I'll be getting feminized beans :) I was thinking of turning this giant Aimoire I have into a veg cab...so maybe we can both be veggin AND flowering this winter ;) Just gotta make sure it's not any antique or anything first...lol.

It's way awesome! You should try it! It works!! All the info you need is in the first 7 pages! Jump on now... O poop. You're doing 12/12 Can't really do it on 12/12.. You have to keep the plant from flowering long enough to get some good veg in. But the thing is it will be super easy to light those because canopy control is amazing and you don't NEED the wires.. I think you should try it!

I am.

Why!? Do I keep getting sent to this first post when I check the thread, instead of the last posts?

I can't comment or see any new posts in this thread, unless I post.

How to fix this I wonder, because I don't wanna post all blind...
Oh well, I'll catch up after this...

Ima check out that mainlining again dabumps, only skimmed it when you recommended it to Lady.J.

Do you let it grow enough for clones? Or pinch out before they get of any size? Aww, hell, I'll just go check it out again. :)

Catt, sorry about the germ rates... I definitely feel ya on that one. Had so much crap luck that I decided to veg my kiddos for a long ass time and only flower cuts.. I've got 6 new sprouts in the nest!! And they'll be a good put back crop me hopes;)
i just need to set myself up for at least six months(ideally a year).
Man I wanna have it done by February at the latest, so I can work on this project that's eating at me to accomplish..

So I'm willing my energies towards all my beans to be girls!! For this run at least.
Whoa, just realized that I'm getting some clones this week that need to be kept! May just clone and flower the rest.

Mainlining is the truth. You top it around 6 nodes then you trim off all of the bottom. If you want to take clones you leave the top 2 nodes on. When the bottom growths are about 6" take each of them as clones... (I took mine early and it's been 6 days and no roots but they are perky and green so idfk...) But then you Supercrop the top. He is a good writer n all but he has a difficulty doing step by step. He assumes by the pictures you can figure it out but you supercrop then lay it down and let it heal! Always top @ the first node to get a tight hub and then build on that... 6 week veg = 8 tops 8 weeks is 16. I'm doing 2 16s and an 8. It hurts your heart when you have to supercrop though.. Fin sad face.

Goodluck with your grow! Will be cool to see what you do with 12/12, after seeing your 1st grow it can't be anything elsE than some crazy stuff! Currently in my 1st grow aswell, my buds aren't anywhere close to the size of yours but I'm hoping they get atleast half that haha I'm subbed, entertain us!

Sitting on a rock in the woods catching up on posts, smoking a bone and dreaming of grows yet to come. Just dosed some plants with neem oil and hoping it controls insects and even prevents powdery mildew.
I think you SHOULD try five different varieties. Just make sure the growth habits are similar. Five different bags of ripe buds would be very cool.
Picked up a WW magazine today and even though the articles stink they have to be advertising at least a few hundred different seeds! Where the he'll do you start? That can't all be that distinct. There are just to many!! If I am lucky I could end up with like nine different buds. Gives me a warm feeling just thinking about it.
As far as naked beaches and such, my experience supports my position that most of them should put their clothes back on... my bucket plants are TAKING off big time. I'm certain I was watching them grow a little earlier. Could have just been whacked. Well the skeeter have found me so I had better start the trek home. Rock On sister!!!
