CHEMDAWG Zombie Farm

She is very Leggy! She has a very complex branching system . It takes me quite a bit of time studying her intricate growth pattern. I like the challenge but it’s a little awkward getting down into the space so low lying down on my side to get to the back of her to cut away things I don’t want growing in her. If You Look at all the little knobs where branches formed that I cut off The remaining thicker branch it’s quite impressive. Once I get her established it’s going to be a smooth home stretch but for now it’s like a Zombie Chess Game.
Seems like the natural growth pattern would be just a giant ball of bud!

I think I have something funky going on in my top bucket. I have a small pump in my res that pumps into the top. It has stopped draining into the bottom bucket. I think I got it fixed yesterday as best as I can at this point but I'm thinking I have something bad growing in there. I have one top that looks dry its looking a little sad. I think im within a couple of days from having some amber trichs but I am debating chopping it if it hasn't improved when the lights come on today
Aren’t you flushing ? Flush harder with more force to knock any gunk and funk out. Residu from nutes can build up and the roots can get so big theY clog the air circulation and pumps. I had problems with roots growing into my poorly rigged system last grow and had to poke the roots out of the way every day . I suggest, if you haven’t already to Open the buckets and hang the roots into a large bucket and cut the roots and clean up down there. Last grow I just started letting my plant dry with the roots getting no water. Like air dry the roots for a slow dry . Also that one bud you are talking about that looks suspicious , it might have bud rot. Open it up and look. Good luck !

found the cutest little doll at Walgreens in the Halloween Section.
It’s so creepy because the voice that you hear is actually coming out of her! It’s Regan from the exorcist.
Simply press her hand and there are 2 voice recordings .

Hmmm interesting,,,,,,

Your helpers look hard at work. What happens if they slack off : ?)
Very funny.
I am still trying to perfect my jello brain recipe. It seems the coconut whip cream might not work as well as cool whip. The worms turned out good but i need to work on perfecting the color in the worms and the brain to get a more dramatic effect.

Yesterday was 10 weeks, I thought she was really close but the trichs are not turning amber. I think I may have started flushing too soon, I have been flushing for 12 days. I did examine the one cola pretty close, I dont see any mold and it doesn't seem to be changing. I will break out the microscope again today to check for any amber. She doesn't seem to be in a hurry.20201017_135755.jpg20201015_130940.jpg

What type of magnifier do you use ? That cola shot is so awesome. I keep looking at it . I love how the flip side of the leaves compliments the last remaining white straight pistils. The veins in the leaves and The pistils are tripping me out. The fall colors and the ripeness is so spectacular!

Thanks Doc. Those pics were taken with my cell. I do have a usb microscope I bought off Amazon for looking at the trichs. Do you think I should wait for more amber trichs? I only see a couple at this point. I'm afraid I started flushing too soon and the leaves an the buds are starting to turn yellow, dont know if that will affect anything other than apperance. That cola shot is the one that looks odd and I was examining for rot.

I would cut and hang dry . She looks ripe enough to me.

This is what I use for looking at the trichsView attachment 4718268
That’s an interesting design microscope. I would not trust it to be honest. Isn’t Chemdawg an extremely difficult strain to tell when she is done ? I think I read that somewhere . Like she might not look totally done but she is.

I am really working hard myself trying to ease into the final positioning. She is really stretching a lot but I have her now where all possible exposed under buds are competing with the canopy so I believe the most difficult part of branch positioning is behind me. I have to wear my heavy duty respirator when opening the tent now because I am so allergic to her. I hung up a small Hurricane clip fan for above canopy air circulation. Day 18 more tucking

She is looking great! the stretch on mine seemed abnormally long. I read the same thing somewhere about chemdawg, and this one is very difficult
Thank you, I read Chemdawg is A strain for experienced growers . Yes I Am very intrigued by her and a so glad she is my only plant because I spend so much time maintaining her growth and structure . She is Very difficult in so many aspects. Blue dream was a piece of cake compared to her.

I read the same thing and was concerned with this being only my second grow. So far I haven't run into any major issues other the out growing the tent. I turned the lights off last night and will harvest tonight. I plan on weighing the crazy top cola, it seems heavy. I also plan on cutting into several chunks to minimize the chance of mold during drying, I think that's my highest risk area.

Good Luck!

And Good Morning!!

10/20/20
Day 20 Flower:hump:
Taking off like a Rocket.bongsmilie

Bumped up to 950 PPM.

She needed 115 more PPMs added to her food. She is moderately drinking still , not at the guzzelling point which is great ! Less maintenance on making her food.

She has a tendency to keep trying to grow buds out of her knobby node areas and I keep having to pull little start up buds to keep her energy focused on the upper area.

Feeling really good about how things are going and her flexibility makes for an excellent scrogger , I haven’t broken any branches like I usually do by this point . Breaking off branches is actually not such a bad thing. With my Blue Dream I broke off a huge main branch and it deverted the energy into the other branches And I got 20 ounces. This Chemdawg is very interesting because she offers a lot of interesting ways to crop her branches because she has so many!
