Lookin good man. I'm smelling lime, lemon oil, jacks cleaner in most of mine too. A little pencil in the narrowest leaf pheno.
But I've grown a lot of Cleaner hybrids so its pretty easy for me to pick that out.
Can you describe the astringent you're smelling?
I've always considered astringent to be a dry taste/sensation like green banana peel or Alum.
Yeah, just meant there is no sweetness at all and has a citrus acidic smell like a bottle of lime juice.

Ahhh the nostalgia is this photo! Wish I had grabbed some more TGA gear back when he was producing. Looks like the only way would be to grab some of bobs chernobly S1s. Is anyone else out there still using or crossing with subs gear that have the genetics available? Thanks!

My buddy picked up some old stock of Cherrygasm and Deep Purple from Genetic Supply earlier this year. He’s currently growing out the last of a couple original release Jilly Bean F2 that I gifted him. Im gonna be walking him through making preservation f3 seeds, and he’s already got pollen frozen. The Cherrygasm are growing well, and I hope to convince him to preserve those too. The Deep Purple are 0/15 germination so far, but he’s still got some more to try. There is a “Vortex preservation project” going on at Genetic Supply (seeds currently sold out), but a lot of interest from the Roll It Up community. Check out this thread for some leads on Vortex : https://www.rollitup.org/t/anyone-have-tga-vortex.1080717/

Badgers Batch at Genetic Supply still has Subs genetics. So Jack the Ripper, Chernobyl, and Qrazy Train are still available as regular seeds.

They're all getting their own personalities behind the lime and citrus. Evergreen pitch, catpiss and camphor ....
My favorite actually turned more floral than citrus with some very old satty smells.
And those tall trich stalks are as sexy as high heels !

Beautiful photos. Kept scrolling like there was 10 different photos

Any recommendation on growing them? Any issues/ concerns?

They're no problem at all. They're almost identical to some trainwreck bagseeds i ran almost 20yrs ago. I treated them exactly the same too. Greens are fading fast during the final weeks.
I probably would've yielded a little more had I fed more N midway thru flower. But i like a nice clean finish.
I found one that I'll run again and chuck on.

I'm growing the Slymer from Bob Bitchen's, too. I had a bit of a grower error blip at the start, but now they are growing really well. I've got two clearly distinct phenotypes....One is a very wispy, thin leafed cultivar that absolutely leans towards sativa morphology. The other phenotype is a larger, stalkier plant -again leaning towards the sativa but not as much. They're only just finishing the first week after the flip, so I can't really get any clear terpene differences yet. Really nice plants! I'm probably going to try some of the other fem'ed hybrids Bob is offering, too.
