China LEDs

China can build a quality product....... Under strict/constant supervision that is:-P
It's really easy to get a decent light out of the china lights: just buy 2 lights/boards for less than half the price and ask for no drivers. Get one driver from and drive them on half power of what china or hlg would, around nominal power. Tends to beat both of them. Leverage f-ing diode count. Spread is king.

Already have 2 Mars Hydro lamps, was going to buy another one, but then I had a look at aliexpress and took a chance, 250 watt Qkwin quantum boards, can actuallly go to 280 watts for 150 dollars total, made me choose to buy it, so far very impressed, with Meanwell driver and dimmer etc.

Time will tell however if it delivers some decent bud, running at 200 watts at the moment and so far so good...
new farmer to be here. did time tell? thinking of budget lights to start

Hey guys I'm looking to buy more LEDs for a new room and Meijiu have been real dicks by not sending back a dimmer that's faulty. What's your go to nowadays?
I've heard great things about kingbrite on alibaba from fellow growers. There 720w copacabanas are one of the best bar style light for the price.

Everything is. Don’t let the bullshit marketing fool you
Probably about 90%. The good thing about Chinese product with high U.S or foreign market is they hire or have a 3rd party quality control, even if its made in China R&D, Q.C is still monitored, if lucky enough you can find the exact same thing while the logo being removed.
while still alot of smaller scale factories which produces the cheap products are the ones doing the negative image. Depending on your industry the state government can take over if they want to.

I dont mind buying China made quality products as i already import steels from China. About 5-10years ago, you can have China produce about anything under the sun and have it printed made in the U.S depending on the volume order. I am aware that China government doest allow this anymore, i also understand that most parts are China made. So i am not really sure if the print is Made in U.S and the item is still made in China. China already banned such thing

Most components are made in China. The engineering and assembly is what makes the biggest difference in quality. The Chinese can build high quality products. They also can make low budget products which is the option many take to maximize profits.

Many of the cheaper brands are made in the same factories by the same workers. Slight changes here and there, a different logo, etc... Multiple brands made on the same shift based on demand from each individual customer.

I remember working at a food plant that made peanut butter, pancake syrup, etc... We'd run different brands from the same tanks/batches. All we did was switch the labels. Sometimes the jars or bottles. Same product just different name.

True and also unethical business is still rampant in China. They are one of the best if producing top notch machineries, but realisticly they are lazy on the research and development department, which could also cut cost on there products.
Those factories in China which have ties with big international company is easily distributing unauthorize selling of the exact same items less the logo and inspection from lets say samsung or nike, since those finish products from China will be shipped out somewhere by Samsung to make it as the original. Vice Versa i can just order from China where Mars Hydro is made with MOQ with a different logo.
I mean why would led growlight factories in China order leds or driver back to Samsung, if they can source it locally, since most likely it was produce in China? ‍♂ my Dad is Chinese, i only need to be in China once to know all this stuff from packing tapes, to printing and so on.

Cant blame China, its actually a good alternative for cheaper products. I mean there is a market for it, so someone has to produce it. Taiwan then Koreas pioneered knock-offs and copy cats in Asia, and look at them now

Then again i would still rather buy U.S/Japanese/Euro base products, base on experience whom i worked in regards to quality control, its zero tolerance compromise probability wise
