Clone swap?

One (1) gram of dried cannabis is equal to:

  • 5 grams of fresh cannabis
  • 15 grams of edible product
  • 70 grams of liquid product
  • 0.25 grams of concentrates (solid or liquid)
  • 1 cannabis plant seed
Hmmm I wonder how they decided on these numbers? Some seem a little inflated or is it just me?

Usually I use to get a 1 to 5 ratio for dry weed vs wet. So for 5 LB of wet I'd get around 1lb of dry. How they go the other numbers I have no idea. 7 grams of concentrates is not bad I that meas I can carry 7.7 grams of 7 syringes of oil.

No idea what liquid is.

I'm waiting for a module for the CMS I musing to be ported which would allow people to create groups on the gtader site. Will be a few months from now. I'll see if I can maybe in the mean time do a similar thing with the forum module too.

First pair of clones going in the mail today...

Untitled.png

Nicely rooted... dipped in water to keep them moist, then wrapped in paper towels to protect them.

Then I inserted the two into the bottom of a SOLO Cup...

Next I stuffed more paper towels into the two cups to make sure the clones wont move around, and taped the cups together end to end, packed them into a box, with more paper towels wadded in there to keep the cups from moving around...

You should place another cup upside down over the plant to protect the stem. Tape them together and the clone is well protected. 2 clones packaged this way will fit in a medium sized Canada Post shipping box.

So I had packed the clones, in the SOLO Cups, in a box 5"x5"x12" - picked something big enough that I had handy... not a LOT of extra room... Took it to the post office, and they wanted $60 to ship it 2 day delivery from the Greater Toronto Area to the prairies! RIDICULOUS

So, needless to say, I need to find a smaller box, I have something 2.75"x2.75"x11" that I can make work, but without the SOLO Cups... According to the CP web site, this should cost about $20 to ship, 3 day service...

Just waiting to hear from the recipient for the go-ahead...

I opened the box, since it isn't going to ship that way, and this morning, after 24 hours, these clones are just as fresh and healthy as the ones still in the tray... This is gonna work if we can ship cheap enough...

Did you look at the boxes for sale at the post office? If it fits into the box, it ships for a set price....might be cheaper

I don't see why that couldn't work. I'm think I'm going to steal the idea and try to start a clone and seed swap club on the island. Just a list of names and emails of people wanting to swap. Post what you have and see what others have to trade. A guy could really build up a variety quickly which is what I'm after at the moment.
Im in. What island? Hornby?

Just saw containers at my local hydroponics store for shipping of clones. I am not sure about what kind of package they would fit in to mail though
I looked up some and noticed its just two beer cups with neoprene disk. Insert the neoprene disk over the one with soil then cut the other cup smaller so in sits inside the main one and tape it up.
