Clones overwatered?

Grabbed some clones off a buddy for my first time grow, they came already rooted and ready for transplant, so I decided I wouldn’t make my medium too moist before transplanting because I noticed how wet the soil already was and some leaves looked kind of yellow and dead but overall the plant was strong so I assumed it was overwatered and stored in a cramped condition before I got them handed to me so I didn’t make me medium too moist before transplanting. These are pics taken after a couple of hours after transplant. Did I do the right thing by planting in semi dry medium? P.s sorry for shitty pictures

any opinions/tips would help, cheers

Vuts those plants look great for clones, they should recover.

What type of medium are you using?

You did fine with your transplant, now you have to keep the "inner root ball" wet while the plants grow new roots into the new medium.

Even though your new medium may look moist the inner root ball is going to dry out the same as if they were in their old small pots.

Give the plants a good soaking when you water them, until water runs out the bottom of the pot.

Give them a little time to get established and them babies will get rolling right along man!!! Doing good

Ive had clones that look like shit and i would swear they were on the brink of death but once they start stretching their legs out they bounce right back

This was a week after I got my clones, there's already some green showing on 3 - but look at the Lemon Haze in the front left, it's near dead.

When it finally turned around it had two small leaves on the top, I'm amazed it lived. Tough little plants.

Just see what happens, i think they will come back if you take proper care

Cheers for the replies guys! Medium I’m using is promix with a little added perlite. I’m still yet to pick up nutrients for them but I’ll be heading out tomorrow for it. Should I wait a few days after transplanting before feeding nutes or? Even after their first 12/12 day they seemed to have perked up already.

strains are x2 power plant and x1 orange Cali, my buddy swears by the orange Cali and says it will grow into a beast lol

I’ll add some pictures tomorrow when they’re back on their light schedule!

Some updated pics, seems like they’re abit shocked but they smell nice. Watered today like Hobbes said so we’ll see how they do!

If it were mine I'd hold off for a week on the chemical fertilizers. I guess in my own mind I'm thinking the little guys don't have established roots yet so why chance stressing them out...However a nice compost tea won't burn anything and the little plants could use a 'pick me up'

Day 5;

gave them a little trim and some compost tea as suggested. When asking a friend he told me to cut the dead leaves but keep the stalk attached. Should I trim the stalk or are they good?

Day 12;

In case anyone’s curious, first 3 pics are the Cali Orange, she’s doing really nice. The last are the power plants and a seedling I started a few days before (some seeds from the local store, Bakerstreet) . I’ll stick to 2 week updates after this. So far so good with the plants I’m hoping.

Some updates pics, Cali orange has been budding nicely but the two power plants started really late, I had troubles with lighting schedules so I think all 3 starting revegging, back on a tight schedule now and everything’s looking good, next grow I’ll veg them up abit instead of going for straight 12/12 since the two PPs are kind of small

new lights coming aswell since I’m not happy with what I got atm, 150watts just not cutting it lol

first pic is the Cali orange and the others are PP, any tips would be appreciated if you can see anything wrong.

Heading into week 6 flower of the Cali orange, revegging and 3 leafed nodes won’t be too much of a problem come harvest I hope but the buds are looking small, hopefully the light bulks things up!

Im wondering if my temp/humidity is good enough, research is telling me it’s a little under what is recommended but I’m just under so... am I good?

Any tips/advice on anything would be appreciated cheers

Updates from 12/12 rooted clones!

The Cali orange! really happy with how she came out, could have been trimmed a lot more but I (kind of) got more brave trimming up on the 3rd power plant chop.



this power plant got chopped early, it got transplanted half way through flower and I must have got some soil inside the buds as they started to burn/die. Lesson learned





and the final power plant! Again, really happy with how she came out, can’t wait to smoke it

the Cali orange was around 15grams dried, the two PP’s where around 16-20 each plant. Next time I’ll be vegging for a lot longer while doing some topping and LST
