Closet Ventilation Question

I have a 4x4 closet and am installing a Can 50 carbon filter with a Can "6 H.O. fan for exhaust through the Attic, and also a 6" passive intake (using negative pressure from the large fan) from another room.

To Achieve the greatest circulation, using the 1 large fan, where shoud the fan be mounted? :

1. Attached to the Carbon Filter in the closet, sucking through the filter then blowing out the attic while providing enough negitive pressure in the closet to drawn air in through the passive intake?

2. Mount the fan in the attic, sucking through the filter then out the roof into the attic while providing enough negitive pressure in the closet to drawn air in through the passive intake?

Thanks for any help!

I like setup 1 for simplicity and easy access reasons but it would be more quiet in the attic if ur goin for completely stealth put it in the attic if not put it in the closet once the fans hooked up to the filter and ducting it's really not that loud but u will b able to hear a slight hum outside the closet

Thanks people, I am using a fan/filter WAY to big for my closet, but with a fan controller at 1/2 speed so it will be whisper quiet. So im not worried about the noise.

The only thing im trying to consider is if I will get better negitive pressure intake with the fan inside the room or out side the room.

I think I will try both setups and see which one pulls more intake.

I will update you peeps to let you know what the result was.
