@Mariometal so... Why dont you just buy the stuff from cobkits and pay customs and everything yourself, its bound to be cheaper as you say, making a thread just to complain that your local led supplier isnt cheap seems a bit of waste of time. No matter what we say here on riu he can charge what he wants.
You seemed already know that 4 cobs cant do the same job as 4 qbs, so whats the point here? It seems a bit petty
Infact why dont you import and sell these components yourself as there seems to be a business opportunity here? I think you already thought about this and decided that it would be too much of a hassle. Yes indeed, a 1400$ hassle.
We are where we are today, with cobs leds etc cause people on this forum started looking for supplier outside the local suppliers for a better price (anybody remember what cobs cost before Jerry Kingbrite?), and eventually setup their own business in stiff competition with eachother. Cobkits is a nice guy but hes not a fool, if there was no competition on cobs he would be charging much more.
@Chirulazo first you complain that the "gringos" (which is a bit of a racial slurr, not all of us want to be lumped in with the US, and nobody here is calling you Argentinian ;p) arent respecting your work in chile, dont listen to us, and then you complain that we shouldnt be listening to your unhappy customer.
Here in Spain we also have customs and sales tax, shilping and everything, didnt stop anyone from getting stuff imported.
1400$ for a 600W fixture of 4 overdriven cobs is expensive, anywhere. Offer your clients something bettrr or you will soon see your competitors stealing your business.
Algo de huevos, chicos
