If anyone still remembers the debate regarding watering frequency and pot size, so far, the more frequent watering looks to be beneficial but pot size (3g versus 5g) isn't making a difference. I'm not sure if the more frequent watering helps because of more nutes or the actual moisture level. I feed GO with every watering.

I have been wondering if my very low rh affects things. I do use superoots airpots which would dry the p[ot out quicker. It should wick water off quicker leaving more nutes etc.
Anyway, my plants look really good.
Here's the Blue Moonshine under a 250 hps with 7 23 watt cfls on the side. It is in a 2.5 or 3 (?) gallon pot. It will be 3 weeks of 12/12 tomorrow.





Here's my tent a week ago, 2 weeks into 12/12.

What size AirPots do you use? I see 7.5L and 12.5L, I think I'm ordering a 12pk of those 12.5's soon.

We grow in 3gal and are having our best results yet. About to move to 2 gal Dirt Pots and try a run with those. We only veg for 2-3 weeks so 2 gal is probably plenty.

My two big plants under the 600 are in 5 gallon pots. I usually get around a pound, variety dependent. The 5 gallon pots may be a bit big, but better too big than too small.

Actually part of the point of superoots airpots are that you can use smaller pots.

In my small grow area I use a 3 gallon pot, I think.

I'd think the 2gal should be fine. I'm thinking more like 5-8wks of veg, strain dependent.

How big do you (both of you) let them get per 3gal? I'm trying to figure out how much actual space I'll use with 6x 3gal, with or without scrog'ing/LST/mainlining.

in the 3 gallon it is alone under a 250
it only gets maybe 2.5' scrogged
that one is under the stairs so I only have about 4.75'

I grew 4 plants in the 3 gallon pots in my tent a little over 3'
The problem was I had to water twice a day. I would hit them until the tray was nearly full then give them a little more later after the tray was dry. That is when I went to two 5 gallon, which makes for less work.

You could do the 3 gallon pots and feed with blumats.

Our next run will actually be all in 1 gallons and vegged for only 10 days. Will see how that goes. No topping or supercropping, 48 per 4x8 table.

Hi,
I hope I am in the right section here. I tried to search but it's way too much and I hope it hasn't been talked to death. I have some cocoa soil, PH 5-7, NPK 0.3-0.1-0.3. I just found that for cocoa soil I need to give all the nutrients because it's inert. I used a 7-3-4 nutrient solution in veg and for flowering I got a 4-6-6. I cant find any Ca-Mg solution so I will have to order and wait or use egg shells and epson salts. Can you tell me please if the solutions are strong enough or I should get a higher concentration of NPK? Something like 10-5-5 and 5-10-10 or higher. Also if anyone has the time to tell some knowhows about watering and nutes that differ from non cocoa soil.

Hi guys, im planning on growing outside(first time) in coco using 15L airopots. My ? is, do you think i'll need to water them more than once a day? i don't really want to be feeding them any more than once a day

If I can't find any Mg-Ca nutrient solution can I go with epsom salts and crushed egg shells? Should I water once with nutes and once with just water like in normal soil? Ore small dosages of nutes every watering?

Just wondering what everyone uses for flowering in coco? I'm about to switch to 12/12 and am looking for a good flowering nutrient. I use canna nutes and have used the canna boost in the past and also used Atami Bloombastic in the past. I'm looking for something a little cheaper! Any recommendations on a good nutrient line to use with my canna nutes and coco? Thanks
