Just wondering what everyone uses for flowering in coco? I'm about to switch to 12/12 and am looking for a good flowering nutrient. I use canna nutes and have used the canna boost in the past and also used Atami Bloombastic in the past. I'm looking for something a little cheaper! Any recommendations on a good nutrient line to use with my canna nutes and coco? Thanks
I'm still using the boost and pk13/14 but started using moab after pk till harvest as a late bloom enhancer. I know you said something cheaper than boost, so maybe look into the GH line or FoxFarm, I have friends who use both in coco with good results. then I have a buddy that users snow storm ultra and overdrive that comes out good too. Good luck finding an alternative.

Quick question for you coco gurus! Im currently running 2 hempys and was in a hurry this morning and watered my ladies until i started getting runoff then headed out the door. came home a few hours later and went to empty my runoff tray and i noticed a couple different worm like bugs floating on the top of the nute mix. they were still moving around and look also like miniature maggots (except they are bright white).

any clue what these might be...im not seeing any gnats or anything of that nature flying around and didnt have these when i was running soil.

thanks in advance!

Get some nematodes now. Also get some mosquito dunks. I put some crumbles in jar lids with water and put them around my tent.
They could be gnat or aphid larva and they eat roots.

First time coco grower. Using Autos and fems...Heres what he's working with...I'll ask questions after:
3-Cocotek bricks by General Hydroponics(The Green Label)
3- Root Puches at 3 gallons each. He mixed in about 40% perlite(horti grade)
Beans- Positronics Super Cheese Express(auto),Delicious Seeds Auto Cheese Candy, Dinafem Critical+, and HSO Bubba Kush reg
Nutes- He has the GO box, Dr. Hornsbys Iguana Juice Grow, Roots Organics Oregonism XL, Mykoz WP,Azos, Superthrive, Cal Carb, GH FloroMicro, Gro-Gine Bloom(10-54-10), and couple of other lesser knowns.
He has soaked and rinsed the coco about four times each. His questions are: Which nutes should he use for vegging? Considering the bennies are auto, which nutes above would be best for the first three to four weeks? How much does temp affect growing in coco? Should he mix the mykos into the soil before planting? How does he check the ph levels in the coco? Does he have to go with hydro type nutes for success instead of organics?

so im about to go coco and do a few test runs in a 2x2 with 300w of hps for flower and 125w of cfl for veg. going with all the coco line. if i like coco enough i will switch to it for my entire grow. i will be hand watering it. so about how many times do you think i will need to water it or should i set up some automatic way of watering?

or could i run any nutrient through coco just diluted since coco does not hold nutrients well?

Roots in coco during transplant. Would it be possible to stay in a small 2 gal pot for my whole grow? This is week 5 from seed 12/12
Here's what I have in less than a gal pots.
If you have a nice rootball, just water them enough and several times a day and it will do the trick ;)

What do you guys do to flush your coco when runoff EC is getting high? My 2 gallon coco hempys are climbing in runoff EC so i wanted to do a good flush, but i am not 100% sure the best methodology for doing this....

weak nutrient solution? just base nutes or base with additives?
Just PH'd water?
flush with a few gallon....test EC? flush with another few gallons if runoff EC is still quite a bit higher than EC of nutrient solution?

I guess im just trying to figure out what everyone else does when they run into this issue.

I am trying to avoid having to dump the 10gal res i just filled up yesterday....im about 5 weeks into flowering
