Hey guys, just a question about my medium. Could I (from seed) use a mix of coco coir and perlite at a 70/30 ratio amended with worm castings and Dr Earths all purpose 4-4-4? Would my plants get enough nutrition and minerals to survive with just PH'd H20 with the acception of the occasional top dress or compost tea? The plants are photoperiod and going to be grown under a Aokrean Cree COB LED 2000w in a 4x4. Is this light any good also?

No. Stop watching YouTube videos for information.

Feel free to give it a try but don't say I didn't tell you so.

Otherwise I'm going in coco with Shogun coco nutes...any good?
don't listen to these two dudes. they search and find any post that has mc.canucks method or his name attached to it and bashes it. I honestly don't know what their deal is. I've personally have use his method before and turns out good for me. newer growers shouldnt start right off with that method as it is not for beginners but yes you can do what you are exactly saying. you cant use coco with dry amendments unless you get some kinda microbes to break down the amendments. so the EWC will do that for you. also mycorrhizae will add fungi and also help with the same process. just know it takes 2-3 days of watering before the nutes are available to roots. so if you have a problem it will take some time to fix it. just dont over due it.

The biggest problem is that Mr Canuck is a YT whore who couldn’t grow a healthy plant if it came up and smacked him upside his head.
