Computer Desk CFL grow box conversion

Shouldn't the L.E.D's be fine because they are green? I was going to use a green led fan in my veg/clone box for the effect lol. But if it's going to be a problem, I wont.

Well, I assumed when I switch to 12/12, any light at all can be damaging, from what I hear. Total darkness is preferable, although I don't see anyone accounting for moonlight (although it doesn't give off the same light rays.) I'm going to switch the lights, like I said before, mostly because the CFMs (air movement) is too minimal, so the light thing just goes with that. I love the LED idea though, my box has two Green eyes - whats more perfect than that? lol

Word. I think It would have looked pretty legit though haha. It would be neat if they could be turned on and off, that way you can use it as a light if you ever have to check the girls during the dark period.

In that case, just get some lights for the outside or wherever and just wire their power along with your CFLs. I plan on making my box look better, I'm not really trying to hie mine so lights are something I'm interested in! Good luck!

nice job man i have a computer desk grow going myself https://www.rollitup.org/members/newbie71047-313281/albums/flowering-1-5-weeks-23204/ in case you want to check it out.
Your stuff looks great. Did you find out if you had a male plant(s)? I like your setup, it's like mine, but I'd say a little better. Is your PC actually working? I wouldn't recommend keeping it down there because of the humidity. That will damage your hard drive and cause all kinds of other problems. As a grow, your setup looks good though.

I'm totally loving my grow now, things look great, lots of new growth and flowering spots showing up. Very proud of my Strawberry Cough bagseeds and the Green Cracks are gonna blow you away!

Green party bulb from wally world is integral in my grow room as my flower patterns are staggered to control heat and noise so there is always something in night night mode in there. green party bulb from wally world $2 assurance that your plant won't go hermie... priceless.

Ha Ha, wow, I didn't know that, sounds like good advice and since you've done it, it's realistic. Thanks. I might just upgrade the internal fan. We'll see.

I actually mist them about twice a day and it evaporates pretty fast, although my temp is keeping between 72f and 82f and my humidity between 35-50, so I think it's working. Thanks for the advice though, I'm still very new at this, I just see in person they are doing well.

Here are some update pics. Not the best quality. I had some issues with growth on some clones, elevated them by (ghetto-ish-ly) stacking old cd cases under them, since I had nothing else. After thought though, it makes it easier to drop the height in small increments while they grow toward the light. jhod58vw helped me out with a new fan, after which I added my old fan to it and the temp finally leveled in the high 70s, since I've been in the 80s lately. Enjoy the pics, although they seem very yellow.

I plan to start flowering tomorrow or the next day. It's about time!

Sucks about the male. I have some concerns myself. Shouldn't have started seeds and added clones, next time it's separate for them. I like your setup, I'll check out the progress on the 4 females.

Thanks for stopping by.
