Think I will name her Wifey because she is taking her sweet time. Week 6 of 12\12 and doesnt look like she'll finish anytime soon. Having some heat problems that may be slowing down
Try use an Air Conditionor, if not add a fan or 2 and try increase your air flow in general:blsmoke:

I've tested with a simple light meter making sure the distance was the same from the bulb and it's easily 20 - 25% more light coming off the side than from the end. Put a piece of tinfoil against the back of the bulb and it jumps up another 10 - 15%.

They are already a low power light source for plants so I like to get the most I can out of them.
Ye during Veg i keep them outside, place tin foil around them to reflect as much light as possible, ye it's ol'school but works and cheap :) If a grow tent or box is empty I usually transfer them there after a few weeks to avoid contamination, bugs or anything else which can damage them. I perfer to have them grow in a controlled environment:blsmoke:

Damn good idea to put foil around the pot if the sun hits it on the side. I stuck a thermometer in a pot outside in early summe when the air temp was 75 on a sunny day and the root zone got up to 110. That can't be good.

Not too stealthy tho. ;)

Sun will kill roots on the sunny side of a pot in 15 minutes.
I always paint my outdoor pots white if I can't find white ones to use.
You can also use a box to protect the pot.

Tin foil is used to keep heat in and out (reflect), basically a line around each pot, pots reflect to pots, a small line of foil just inside the rim of the pot to reflect on lower levels of the plant and then I stick some foil on basic cardboard and attach them to a wall or possitioned around them, you know like when people goto those Solar places for a Tan:razz:. I haz a degree in Ghettonomicz:bigjoint:
Well for the stealth side, place Other plants around them or afs ANC stated use a Box so it relects within and not out of it:blsmoke:

Little on the small side for week four but many fatten up a lot near the end.
Ye an example of this was recently one of mine had a hard time, slight light burn a broken steam which I fixed back (tapped with electrical tape), so it took just over a week to start growing normally again after it healed. Now it's much better infact this one seems more frosty compared to the others.
It is the smallest of the bunch but it's catching up to the others, I'll probably have to give her 8-10 days extra for harvest compared to the others, then again I might pull it when it's 40/60 trichomes milky/amber and the others are probably around 30/70 or 20/80 (max), mine are mainly indica this time so I let them go more towards amber/narcotic effect.:eyesmoke:

I've done the foil thing, it still gets too hot. cut a slot into one side of a box and move the pot in so the box catches the sun. No one said growing weed needs to be pretty.
The alternative is get a 1500 gal smartpot, that will protect your roots by its volume.

To reduce heat he could cut large holes at the bottom sides of the box to increase airflow, similar to having grow tent air flaps at the bottom open to increase airflow. Then again heat is also based upon climate unless your plants live in a vault, infact I had to add a portable AC, cause they were going over 30°C, even if I have a decent airflow, I don't want to ruin my buds:blsmoke: When I notice these changes I got to act fast or they will suffer and that means i'll suffer with less yield , it's a vicious circle :wall:
Heat waves are BAD, Almost lost a full crop cause of it, I was lucky. Another heat wave incomming this week, so for me I have to double check things.
Best to be safe rather than sorry:cool:

I'm working in outdoor utility closet in apt, I have a fan but would have to drop a couple hundred on mobile ac I will probably just moved e inside. Question, I trimmed some lower branches and found a couple nanas, I will check the entire plant when get home today but is this basically all she wrote?

Yea I was hoping it is just a long flowering sativa but I may be done. I trimmed some lower branches and found a couple bananas in them last night, I will check the entire plant when get home today but is this basically all she wrote?

OK, try this, if you have ventilation access holes at the bottom sides of your "closet", if not you could make them, add Fans to Pull In air and the Carbon filter will pull it all up and out increasing airflow. I know AC cost, even the electric bill hurts but I really didn't have any other solution for heat waves.
I got a decent Air flow, Air System with carbon filter, ventilation holes at the bottom always open, a fairly large fan but if outside the closet is like almost 32°C inside due to lights it can easily reach 37° so to avoid this during heat waves I keep the AC on - I don't always use it and for me it's like an "oh crap button""break in case of emergancy".

I'm a first time grower. I went through the basic rookies mistakes: over nuting and stupid watering. Heading into week 3 of flower, 6-23watt cfls on some bag seed. How bad is it? Any estimates on yield?

If you notice your plant is only growing buds up really really high where there is sufficient light well I wouldn't call it sufficient. You're running all these little lights if you really care about this plant and want to actually see a decent bag of pot come out of it or even a return on your energy investment you should get a better light. Or start setting it by window that gets alot of sun. I am lucky and have a couple south-facing windows in my house and I am able to have a couple of plants being sustained just by sunlight inside something to think about

Gotcha, all I can do is finish at this point, I will have new set up for next grow

Look like 3 or 4 more weeks at least the way all those fresh flowers are looking. I think you're flushing way too soon and will impact your yield in a not so good way. Looking really good!
