I ran a 9 month veg. It did not turn out as I expected. It was a waste of energy and nutrients. I don't recommend it.

I wouldn't even recommend vegging a mother for anything longer than 1 or 2 flower cycles, as in, on the third cutting, I would recommend swapping out the mother with a clone.

... So I had a pretty cool idea... What if I had a plant (or a few plants), and I never flowered it? Just let it veg... I know what happens at first, it's a plant. So it grows and grows and grows. Now, what if I use some wire and shelves and stuff to make those branches work like vines all around my house and light the shelves with Metal Halides, or some really strong CFL's (and lots of them). Now... When summer comes (maybe 2 years in), if I open my windows, and let the plant grow out, add some HPS and switch to 12-12 inside, then wait for winter to harvest... 1) How huge would those nugs be? (kinda rhetorical, but you can answer if you want) 2) Would my house probably smell like bud (again, rhetorical). It would be pretty awesome. You would have a whole forest of nugs and sugar leaf, plus a bunch of nugs out the window. Is there a world record for shit like this yet?
Ok, I'll humor you. First, as long as you keep your plant on a vegetative light schedule (most people use 18 hours on/ 6 hours off) it will continue to grow. Now if you plan on flowering inside you need to figure that the plant will stretch some or a lot, depending on genetics. Your house will fucking smell, even vegging plants give off some smell.

Now, letting the plant grow around a room and outside of your house? Ummm.....I don't even know what to say. Unless you are legal or live VERY VERY FAR from people, that would be a good way to go to jail.

If you haven't grown anything yet I would start small. A cfl grow, fuck even t8 shop lights will get you started. If you can grow a plant from seed to harvest with some fluorescents then think about moving up.

Here are some links: https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/

And: https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-fluorescent-lighting/

And: https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/

I suggest you read some stickies in each of these sections before starting. Research never killed anyone. And please make sure everyone in your house knows what you are doing AND IS OK WITH IT. Or you may wind up homeless. Best of luck to you :leaf:
