No problem man, I don't only grow copycat genetics believe it or not. Popped some Bangi Haze from Ace Seeds, and just bought a pack of Golden Tiger from them. Will be posting about them in the next few weeks. Sativas are more my jams actually. I had the same misgivings about copycat but to speak fairly and plainly the strains I've grown from him are amazing, got everything bag appeal, terp, yield, potency everything.

so to you guys that have run a fair few autos and photoperiods, do you not find that most autos just lack that extra bit of taste and smell that most photoperiods produce, i don't know what it is but every auto I've grown I've just not been happy with the end result when it comes to the terpene...

Lol son autos are way harder to grow than photos. I learned way more from growing autos. Copycat alone I grew 5, with 2 finishing up. Never lied about it. No idea what your point is. If I were you I'd change that avi before we take this discussion furtherautoflowers and terps.

Different strains bro. The first two strains of his that I grew had vastly different flavor, smell and effects. The Slurricane I'm finishing up smells strongly like watermelon rind, which I love. The Plat Jelly Breath is nice but no standout characteristics just yet beside a shit ton of frost and vigor, and that she clones super well, only thing I didn't like is the mutant leaves early veg, almost tossed it but I'm glad I kept it cuz she's just tossing on frost right now.

I'm not being flippant. I don't understand why you would spend thousands of dollars on beans, instead of just buying one pack, find a keeper and run it for several cycles. If you need different flavors, pick two distinctly different varieties.

I don't spend thousands of dollars. Like the other guy said he has 4 packs for $250 throughout the year. No idea if he has one now. They're not super expensive like these people said. If they're $250 a pack I wouldn't buy them. Hell I would never spend $250 on any seed pack ever, even if it grow giant bean stalks.
What can I say man I like variety. Also I only keep mother's of the plants that I and the wife bsolutely love so I want to get really picky.
