All of these posts indicate the seriousness of the issue and the fact that there is more debilitating and fucking of lives than death. This is more akin to the impact of the black death on medieval europe than anything else. I am hopeful that the steroid treatment we discussed earlier will mitigate some of the damage along with the mortality rate. My real hope lies with monoclonal antibody therapy and that can confirm limited immunity and is very scalable and being manufactured now in Canada and the USA. Convalescent Plasma and distilled shots from it are a stop gap at best and will be reserved for the seriously ill. What is happening in the Red states would overwhelm any medical system and the quality of care will suffer, mortality rates will go through the roof and those with heart conditions and diabetes will be swept away quickly, many dying at home.
