COST TO GROW?

I hear the dispensaries are charging $5. , $10. , $15. , even $20. a gram (depending on quality). That is rediculous, since they are supposed to be Non-Profit organizations. I've never actually crunched the numbers and done the math myself - but I'll bet some of you have!

So, here's the question: How much does it really cost you to grow an ounce (or gram) of dried bud (not counting rent or house payments - or initial cost of lighting fixtures)?

I expect the replies to vary quite a bit just because of the cost of electricity, so include your cost per killawatt if you know it.

There is many factors but the biggest is taxes $20/gram $15 taxes "tax the hell out of it" subtract 15k^ in utility bills per Month your employees reasonable compensation non reusable expenses nutes seed to sale software ect. Not as high as you think being medical it's not profit anything left goes into the bussiness not your bank account recreational is for profit but still sky high taxes you really want to make big money don't become legal and charge $20/gram tax free and all profit

I see people pay £0 to £20 a seed

around £10 to £100 on what they run it in again £10 to £100 on food and their time and the electric bills

I`m sure outside you could do it for mega cheap maybe 50 cent per gram or less but most people are probably spending around $1 to $20 per gram to grow it some people may be spending more

it`s more about knowing where it came from and doing it yourself, I mean there are times where I would pay to grow a plant even if I did not get any of the crop and other times where I fill like I should be paid loads to even consider dealing with a problem or plants or a grow or a set up, all kinda relative

but I have seen some people on here take extra from their yield to sell to a dispensary, I`ve seen a few people say the price they offered was too high for their extra weed and actually ask them to pay them less, always seemed kinda cool of them

If I had loads of space and no bills to pay I would`nt charge much or anything most of the time oh we can dream.........

Wait a minute dude.....Quit yer whining about price! If you don't like it = don't buy it!

You can't say "no rent or building costs" as some of us rent or outright OWN our grow ops FROM buying or even building them....

So if you built it or you rent it for an op - it's part of the overall cost man!

As far as the shop go's for figuring price.....To me 1st off. It MUST be CLEAN! NO bugs or molds found in testing - testing is YOU Pay for and I'll see what you send out to BE tested.....It fails - I no buy! As for the scale of pricing.....It's all based on THC level for how I pay you for it! Same then for how I price it on the shelf.....You should also know that I go through High CBD strains as fast as High THC strains in sales for the most part. No body seems to want to grow CBD strains around here enough.....At least for my shops.....Hell I get 3 Disp. from 75 miles away calling me to see if I can get more for them too!

I find that while the next best thing gets attention for awhile. Seems like everyone goes back to their favorite's with time....I mean I get the most requests for some strains I've run for years and years......

Operation costs are what they are.....You invest and you get returns......Your not "really" making a profit till all those initial start up costs are paid back! That's how business works.....

If you think paying 20 a gr for top shelf is price gouging? How about the oil industry? Where I live if the station owner sneezes - the price per gallon goes up.....

You shouldn't have to pay a mortgage each month to smoke 2 oz if your actually in chronic pain 24-7 like I am and need it to function. Forced me to start growing.
