Just got my 1st order from CSI & didn't get what I ordered. Kinda bummed. Wanted some stank in my life so ordered some Chemdog D S1, I was sent Chemdog #1. Freebies are nice so I feel odd bitching, but I was looking forward to running some Chem D thus run I'm starting tomorrow. First world problem I guess. I reached out to CSI, I'll see what response I get. ✌

My tk indoors is extremely vigorous, grows fast and tall and drinks like a sonofabitch. It’s viney but all real og’s are viney. 91 on the other hand… that’s a fickle gal
I have some issues a with TK. Just can't dial her in. I thought I had chem91 crosses OK, but giesel x chem91 looks like it is starting to eat her leaves in week 7. Any advice? Hit her with something or just let her ride?

I don’t, chem 91 clone is known to eat itself at the end of flower. If you think you can make it to harvest without getting dead yellow leaves inside your buds you should be fine. If the leaves die inside the buds you’ll get mold

The leaf necrosis is totally normal. It always begins slightly in week 7. By week 10 she will look twice as ugly but still be dank. Those 2 are absolute whores for calcium. Not cal/mag, but just calcium. Cutting edge makes a really nice straight cal boost

They will more than make up for that mistake. Just email them back to the original email you sent your order to

Thanks. I'll probably hit em with calsil+. That should work, yeah?

But I will definitely check out cutting edge. Thanks again.

90% don't know what they're smoking or give 2 shits in my experience. as long as it has bag appeal and a decent high, it will work. most want to find a deal on some good smoke and move on with their life. very few actually know the difference between chem91 and chem d if you hand them a nug of each
yup and most will say all weed smells like skunk yet we have many threads on many forums saying other wise. Lol

Properly grown Og/Sour/Diesel/Chem/Kush is the best weed on the planet. I love haze too, but not most styles. If I enjoy anything new it’s because I can taste the Kush or OG or Sour or Diesel in it. Those skunky funky terps are queen. My favorite Hazes are the skunky ones that smell like dank chronic. The last week or so I’ve seen a lot of bs posted on this thread. Opinions and ideas that contradict my 20+ years experience with cannabis. Keepers everywhere for everyone! I guess it doesn’t have to coat your mouth and peel you back anymore to be a good plant or a keeper! Og is overrated!
I agree her and her kin (diesel, sour, chem) are hard to grow, but when they don’t look “fickle, scraggly, or viney” they are the peak of the mountain.
Amen to this. I've enjoyed most of the herb I have grown and like to explore all the different genetics, but there have been plenty of duds and the absolute best for me fall into the OG, Chem 91, or Diesel category. The difference between a well grown keeper pheno and a poorly grown non-keeper pheno is HUGE. For me, flavor is king and when the mouth coat is there everything else is usually on point as well.

Agreed. I’ve grown plenty of beauties. Grown plenty of mid grade smoke that’s better than what most people get. People can see some in this thread. Looks aren’t everything. Smell and taste are more important. Dank smelling weed gets one more stoned. Period. I would also say that the best growers are how you judge a genetic. They unlock potential. A crappy grower will never show you what a plant is truly capable of. Give them an elite cut and you’ll think it’s trash. Give an elite grower anything and the plant will be healthy and as quality as is possible for that specific plant. Of course some phenos are more beginner friendly and the plant’s potential can be reached more easily so an inferior grower might be able to do a decent job, but hard to grow strains are only done justice by elite growers.
For instance, I’ve had good indoor Santa Cruz Blue dream from several growers. All good, but one of the batches came from an elite grower. The flavor was stronger and slightly different. The high was stronger. It was better. Same cut.
I have taken snips off of a friends seed that looked terrible because it was the last seed and I wanted to try it. He is a good grower but not elite. After his harvest he told me it was garbage and to toss it. When I harvested mine it was absolute dank Hawaiian Snow. Most of the seeds I start end up healthy and vigorous. Grown well. However, when it comes time to smoke my perfectly cured well grown weed only 5% or less would even make it to round 2. Quality and keepers are subjective until you are experienced. After that it becomes more objective. Provably so when multiple elite growers pick the same exact few keepers out of a large hunt.

A guy on IG, Motorboater406 or something similar, has grown a ton of seeds too. He said something once that stuck with me and i have found to be somewhat true after running 10+ seeds from many crosses. He was selling open packs of a couple rare and popular crosses. Someone asked him why he didn’t run them all and look for the keepers since they were supposedly amazing.
He said “I just run 1 to 2 seeds of each cross. Then I decide if I want to run more. Ime if the first two don’t show me something I want then chances are it’s either not there or not worth the search.”
Using this strategy has been awesome for me to find crosses I personally like and it has worked. I usually do find a much higher percentage of the dank in specific crosses. What a time saver it’s been.

This hits home. I never liked blue dream that much then a friend up north brought his down and it was some of the tastiest herb I had ever seen

I doubt the CSI just S1'd these plants and started selling seeds.

I believe their S1s are S2s; maybe even S3 or S4.....basically a selection they made from their original reversal; reversed again for a higher percentage of likeable phenos.

If they truly S1'd and started selling seeds; then I urge everyone to S1 their plants because I haven't seen any shitty results.

The chem 91 reviews may be legit....but also; there's a lot of breeders with the Chem 91....do maybe others just had better cuts compared to his?

And I've heard some genetics don't like being S1'd and Chem 91 may be one of those
The entire point of an S1 is to have the full genetics of the cut that was self-d. Every generation after s1 has more and more losses of traits and becomes less of itself. Nspecta does not re-cross his S1s, not should he, they are S1s on purpose. The reason you go to csi is to get what you order. He's not reselling skunk as diesel, he's not selling northern lights as cookies, you get what you order. S1s are for pheno hunting or breeding.

I've bought a good 30+ packs off of him and have always gotten what I ordered. S1s are neat, but I think his worked lines are better to grow (but maybe not to breed). I found some gotdamn fire in his mendo/urkle crosses, that deep purpling with a wide variety of interesting odors/tastes. Fruity, skunky, deisel, all in fairly homogenous and productive plants.

I've got some mendo purps x t-1000 in veg right now, and I'm already excited. See what we can get out of 4 beans. All total I've got ~14 csi beans in veg, some that were 5+ years old... And all popped and are growing strong.

i wish i would have gotten a few pics of my Sister Wifey before i gave her the chop. Only popped one seed and shes a good one. I had some doubts along the way but im loving the lemon limey kushy terps shes giving off and the bag appeal is off the charts. a bit lacking in the yield department but they cant all check all the boxes.

She had an old dank basement smell going on that had me concerned about mold or mildew through most of bloom but started to change to more funk at the end, and a trimmed up nugget has none of that. a blacklight showed nothing, probably just a funky combo of terps.
